re: Which watch do you own?

I have a Casio A158WE and now got hold of an old made in Japan A159W ( I think it is around 15-20 years old). Replaced bracelet with a blue nato strap from my Seiko SNK807 and result is fantastic.

Dial has darkened in some area.

re: Which watch do you own?

After deliberating a long time, I picked up my first Oris last week. I was deliberating between the diver 65 and the Chronoris. Being a driving enthusiast, the retro automotive inspired look of Chronoris won out in the end.

For people living in Bangalore, in Titan's corporate office located in Electronics city phase 1 there is a sale on watches with a discount of flat 50%. The brands include Titan, Fast track, Sonata, xlysys, Police, Kennet Cole etc

Nice one! I have personally had my eye on the Divers 65 for the longest time, but the steep asking price has kept me away from venturing into Oris territory. That said, Oris does offer solid value in the price bracket that they operate. The Chronoris has the retro attributes in spades!

Did you get any offers for the festive season?

re: Which watch do you own?

I have a fully digital hiking watch which needs a new battery and more importantly needs the backlight fixed. Stopped working all of a sudden. Probably a good idea to get the internals cleaned up as well.

Any recommendations on good watch repair shops in bangalore i can visit to have this done?

re: Which watch do you own?

My Tissot Touch is on the fritz.
The touch sensitivity of the face is not responding.
Changed battery at local Tissot dealer but it isn't working still.
I request members to advise me about the best service centers in Mumbai for Tissot Touch.
This watch is more than 9 years old but if it costs a bomb, I won't bother.
Thanks in advance.

Oris watches are presently offered at pretty nice prices at Ethos Watches.
In Dubai a couple of months ago, I noted that one of the big retailers there was pulling Oris off their shelves and consequently, they were offering some massive discounts on ready stocks.
Oris is a good brand. I like their design, especially their “flush fit watch glass” and big numerals and easy to read luminous display. If one doesn’t want to spend the big dollars on an Omega Seamaster but still wants the “look” then the Oris is a pretty good option...

Hi everyone,

I changed the leather strap sometime last year since it had worn out and got a steel bracelet. I now wish to get a good leather strap again. Was looking at this nice brown one from Aliexpress for about 12$ https://www.aliexpress.com/item/EACH...1-c6d8aacaa657

Any other suggestions?

My Omega constellation 43mm has finally reached our son. Should be in to Swatch soon. Let us see what are the damages. You may recall that the hour had had broken loose. The hand was moving around a bit.

Do bear in mind that Gleatherstraps at this price point may not be really great or of long lasting quality. In other words you get what you pay for. If your expectations are set accordingly, these straps should be good enough.

If you are interested in significantly higher quality leather straps, albeit at a much higher price point, you may want to check out the Colareb website. They are high quality leather watch strap manufacturers in Italy and do ship worldwide. Expensive, but superb quality and designs. You could also check out Barton watch bands (US based manufacturer) which are somewhere in between the two price points above.

Any idea where we could source the screws holding the back plate in place?

Recently had changed my battery and due to using Dollar-Store tools I'd managed to scar the stock screws pretty bad.

The Nato looks cool, I did consider changing mine but the ones I found online seemed to be a bit overpriced for my taste, do suggest if you know of any online stores that sell reasonably priced Nato's.

As for the 159 the strap is its USP, you should consider going back to maintain its uniqueness.

Mines a 158, over 5 years old.

Currently I'm running on a 1995 Citizen Eagle 7, the service cost was a whooping 700/-, which is more than the general service of my Bajaj CT100B & Pulsar 220, and was advised to keep it running daily to keep the coil in good health.

Thanks, I did look at Barton, but they don't have the design I'm looking for. I have my eyes on a Hirsch strap that I will get when a friend travels east.

Please check with your local watch repair shop. They may have few old damaged watches to get spare screw.

re: Which watch do you own?

Can someone suggest good watch repairer in Bangalore who is specialised in Casio ones?
The Internet does suggest Horolab as authorised one, but reviews are not boosting my confidence. Thanks for your time.
