re: Which watch do you own?

While my Citizen Ecodrive (Which watch do you own?) is a great watch, its a pain wearing it inside my biking gear.

So when my friend who is visiting India, asked me what I wanted. I choose this watch.

Its the Casio gd100-1b

I love the auto illumination feature. Wear it, twist the wrist by 40 degrees and the dial illuminates.
One very nice feature is world time. With quick view for 3 timezones apart from one home city.

It runs on a battery. Claimed life is 7 years.
Price is 96$ including taxes.

I wear the Sony Ericsson MBW-150 bluetooth watch. I am sure that many of you would not have heard about this watch as it is not so popular.

It is a bluetooth watch which can display the calling number/name and can control music playing on SE phones. It is designed/made by Fossil for SE.

re: Which watch do you own?

What do you guys think about Xylys? Xylys - You don't possess a Xylys. It possesses you.
I need to gift one to my brother as he's got a job in an MNC and these watches fall under my budget too.

Other questions - What is this 'swiss made' thing on their dial, i thought it's from Titan? Anyone here has owns a Xylys? If yes, then can you upload pictures and share your buying experience?

(P.S.: Admin. Sorry for posting here. I couldn't find a "What watch to buy" thread. If such a thread exists, then kindly move it there.)

re: Which watch do you own?

As far as I know, Breitling are as expensive as Rolex and start above 2.5L So if you got it for 16K, it is a brilliant fake. Most of the fakes have electronic movement, in contrast to the mechanical movements of the originals, so if your second hand steps in one second increment yo know that it is a fake.

Here is the original
Breitling

You can check its price at Kapoor Watch Company in Gurgaon, GK-I, South Ex, and CP

If you stretch your budget just a little bit, you'll be able to get a good watch from either Citizen or Casio Edifice or Fossil, which IMO would make a better gift than a Xylys. Just my $0.02!

Cheers,
Vikram

I guess 16k was meant for the Sony Ericsson watch! 16k is too expensive even for a fake, had seen a couple of them at Chinatown,Malaysia.

I saw couple of them. With 15K-20K you get pretty basic designs of those watches. With Xylys you get some real good designs. (My POV. Not sure if you like it or not) Also the fact that it's Titan's initiative to make swiss made watches, it's turning out to be quite appealing.

So anyone knows anyone who has a Xylys? I would love to know their views.

Good fakes cost money. Rolex fakes start at $100 and can go to $1500. The expensive ones have the Swatch mechanical movement (same as Omegas), good case and good strap. In contrast cheap fakes use Chinese quartz movements and inexpensive case and strap, and they look it. The Breitling shown seems to be an "up market" fake.
