Yikes, there could be a lot of reasons for you facing this issue.

The Auto Expo section gets dissolved a month or so after the auto expo.

You can search for the words "Auto Expo 2014" and check the "In Titles Only" box. (Using the search link beside "New Posts"). This will show you all the threads you wish to see.

Happens only on my laptop. I use a Dell windows 7 machine.

Okay. I'm not 100% sure of what the problem could be, but lets see...

Does the issue persist if you connect your laptop to a completely different network?

Do you know what DNS servers your laptop is using?

This is because you've visited the httpS:// version of the link. We use a self-signed certificate, hence the warning.

This is an advice cum call for help.
I created a thread in my 'Assembly Line' section and while pasting some text to the thread, I instead pasted a 3 MB image file. Now I am getting a request timeout error whenever I am trying to access my thread. My requests are twofold.
1. Is there any way to bar very large size pastes to the posts? That will avoid similar mistakes in the first place.
2. Is it possible to delete my (now bad) thread, so that I can reclaim the thread title and rewrite it again? Let me know and I can provide the thread details.

1) Unfortunately no, not that i know of. Believe me, it would make our lives easier too!

2) Start a fresh thread in Assembly Line. Name it the exact same thing, no problem. Here, use the print version of your existing thread to copy the initial text you typed : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/assemb...als-print.html

Mods I seem to be having some problems with my account here.
A couple of days ago, when I had replied to a thread, I had had a look at my post count. It was 91.
After that I replied to/posted a few more posts..
Today, after replying to a thread I had a look at my post count. It's still stuck at 91. Shouldn't it be moving?
Is there a workaround to this?

Are you referring to something like a dedicated 1:1 chat application? Please elaborate with an example or use case so that others can understand better.

We already have a mobile app for Android and iPhone though I should probably add that I still prefer browser over the app due to the limitations in the app. Mobile browsers have evolved a lot in recent years to the point where it is almost on par with desktop browsers in terms of functionality. So the browsers offer more functionality than the app in most cases.
