Hi GTO,

> Alternatively, you should "save sessions" if your browser allows for the same > (Look up Opera).

Thanks. Now why did I not think about it?

I have Firefox and it should do.

From my old BBS days, the above is the format in which I quote what is needed to answer. One kind member politely informed that I shoulg go back to learning school to learn how to quote a message. Can this method be used or should I use the traditional quote method adopted here?

Thanks again.

@trrk, the method used by the forum allows one to jump back to the quoted post, which might be several pages or threads away. Also you can edit the contents to include only the relevant bits so that it still functions like the one-line quotes that you favour

+1 to that. All the three ads on the top of this page open in the same page.

This has the good points of both the worlds. It was drilled upon us not to quote more than what was absolutely needed.

I always edit the quoted part to show the points I want to respond to. I doubt any one is going to read the quoted part, esp when a the quoted part is big. I myself dont read quoted messages, esp the ones where the quote is large. A single point or two - yes, I do take the effort to see what the original point was. Point is, I would have most times read the original message anyway. Why read it again ?

Is there any way deleted posts like this one don't show up.
With the growing number of posts it would help reduce clatter on the displayed pages.

Thanks

MODS, there is a line thats always in my use and it's 'C wa 'm sayin' for 'see what I'm saying?' in short it's 'SWIS'.
Just checking to see if this can be added on to the abbreviation page though not used by many, but if it's ever used then folks could check to see what it means.
Thank you.
