Just saying something in the line of your stickers .

"Thank you for visiting T-Bhp,Drive safe and remember to always wear your seat belt". This may sound cheesy to have , but i reckon it will pass on the seriousness of T-bhp towards promoting itself as a valuable and sensible forum.
Sorry, I hate pop-ups. Instead, the space on top at the right of the t-bhp logo can be utilized.

But please no-pop ups (which will usually be blocked anyways)

Yearly TEAM-BHP calender

Hi,
I was searching for a calender by Team-BHP, and could only find a thread related to 2006 calender.

Even in the store section, I saw only stickers.

Everyone would be using at least one calender, hence wouldn't it be a good idea to have a yearly TEAM-BHP table top and wall hanging callender?

Its a suggestion. May be Senior-BHPians or moderators can think of this.

I would like to have such a calender and am pretty sure that many more like me would like to have such a calender.

Nishanth.

We try to avoid ads from all auto manufacturers so as not to let it influence our viewers, or let them feel like we are biased to a certain manufacturer or promoting their product.

The ads come in via a 3rd party service. We have to specifically block the ones we dont want.

Interesting idea.
I guess from the replies so far you can see the downsides of it.
However, hang in there.... soon we might be able to display such messages and keep everyone happy. Give it a few months.

As mentioned in this thread before (in the last 5 pages) and in the Team-BHP FAQ :

(making it bold for the others reading this who have the same problem)

If you are getting logged off the forum (when you visit the classifieds section) :
CLICK THE REMEMEBER ME CHECKBOX when logging in

Hopefully that will solve your problem.

cheers,
R

Please don't. Or make it an opt-in thing. Popups annoy everyone, this one would be no different.

+1 to that.
Pop ups in an office environment is a strict NO NO .
Plus they are an annoyance always so i would suggest against such usage.
Anyways all the people who drive cars are adults and very well know its neccessary to wear seat belts. Its juts the laziness and disregard for law which doesn't let us wear it at times. Can a pop up do anything for that- i guess not.

How about T-Bhp T-Shirts in the store as well? Small logo front, big one on the back!

Good idea but small logo is OK. Not big one at back. It does not look good or we can have both the option. Mods need logistics to do that. I think they can unload this task to other city volunteers controlled by Mods locally

Harry10,

Dont underestimate the power of suggestion, as well as leading by example. In addition to that we have more than enough evidence on the forum of the importance of wearing a seatbelt etc which we can link to.

Even if we can convince 1 person a month to take road-safety seriously, it will be worth it. Ofcourse, we will be aiming much higher.

Please make sure you include the original "redline" logo. SORELY missed that in the stickers. IMO, not only is it the best of the lot, it's a MUST!
Redlining the automotive scene without a redline sticker ... NAAAAAHHHHH

I am confused about plagiarism rules at the forum!
Can someone please spell them out in brief?

Copy-paste entire paragraphs from papers published by others, without giving citation or credit. Is that plagiarism or not?

@Rehaan- You got me wrong there. Am all for suggestions and specially the good ones like seat belt one. My point was if we all know its neccessary and a life saver(and am sure about this that we all drivers on the forum know this very well and the ones who dont can see the Accident thread and will know) then why not start implementing on daily basis. Why do we need a pop up to remind us of that.
Even in most of the new age cars we hear a beep for sometime if we do not wear seat belts and still its disregarded by many of us. That is something which needs correction on a priority.

@Anup- Valid point. Will like to know that myself.

I believe the comments option in the Classified section was very crucial. Member could warn other Noob member regarding inflated prices and error in adds, either by mistake or intention.

for example, today there is a laptop for sale, the same or identical item was sold at two/third the price a week back.

Maybe someone is trying top make a quick buck.

myself and other members may have noticed this but there is no way to warn others.
