When a thread is deleted for some reasons, a PM should be sent to all those who posted on that thread.

Presently, we don't know when the thread is deleted & we start searching the entire forum for the missing thread!

Hi Finneyp. As you know, the current system is that the thread starter is sent an automated PM, notifying him of the reason too (Mod reason for deletion). Our software only allows us to include the thread starter in the notifications list, not all respondents.

Is there a way to delete a post once you have clicked on the post option or during the 20mins after posting?

Only mods have the authorization to delete posts. What you could do is mention the post is for deletion, and the use the 'Report Post' button (clicking on Exclamation mark near the bottom of the post) to bring this to moderator attention who would then delete the post.

The alternative, as you said, is to use google -- however we've made that easier by integrating Google Custom Search on our site itself. Perhaps you have not seen it if you are using one of the older skins?

Mods, may I suggest that you try to get more F1 enthusiasts on board? Right now, the motorsports section has only a handful of regular posters. Almost all the time, the number of viewers of the Indian Car Scene is around 1000. For all motorsports, the number hovers near 50. And even fewer post regularly.

Can't get a bigger gathering of Indian enthusiasts than on Team-BHP, Mclaren Rulez. However, F1 remains a niche sport in India and hence, the lower number of posts (relative to say, the popular Indian car scene forum).

Yes, eventually fate decides everything, but here I want to speak about:

1) SX4
2) Fiat
3) Build quality.

What's sensitive about that? Its a perfectly reasonable topic to compare, say the SX4 and Linea, in terms of build. Or anything like that. I'd be surprised if that's against the rules.

Absolutely agreed. @ Aaggoswami, just ensure that the topic hasn't already been discussed earlier.

Suggestion?

hi
Just wanted to point out that in the registration page. in "Why TEAM-BHP?"
It is clearly stated that keep the description to 50 words. whereas when you submit 50 words you aren't accepted cause IMO it meant 500 words.
MODS please advise and change if required.
