Everything back in shape sans the button font color. It's not exactly readable now. I think the button work is still going on.

All fixed guys, and we've also added the new website's navbar to the forum.

Only thing pending is the bug reported by Swiftnfurious. Will take care of it in the coming week.

Thanks to all the reports

I had faced this issue yesterday, but right now when I tried, it worked fine.

Has the problem been fixed already or is it intermittent?

PS. Yesterday I had tried from my desktop while right now I am using the laptop. Although I don't think that should be a factor since the OS and browser are the same on both.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

I do understand that there is temporary spike in issues because of the changes.

Here're a few that found:
1. The classfieds page still uses the old logo.
2. Some sub-sites are using the entire 100% of the screen width and some seem be coded for a fixed width. e.g Forum uses 100% width, whereas "Hot Threads" doesn't.
3. While on the forum, the car-image in the top-right corner does not appear and has a 'search' box instead. Looks intentional. Just checking.
4. With the updated menu on top, there are duplication of some links. e.g. Classifieds and Photos/Photo-Gallery appear in both the menus on the same page.

Due to the natures of the different softwares and designs, this is how its going to be (ie. a mix of fluid width and static width pages).

We'll be trying to get back the shuffling car as part of the next step of changes to the navigation elements. We have no plans to eliminate it, though due to some technical constraints its missing right now.

Nice catch. Thanks. We'll try to remove this redundancy if possible.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

One more observation while viewing the pictures in the garage. Clicking a thumbnail now opens the image in the same window instead of the slideshow popup. Only way to see the next image is to click the back button on the browser to come back to the garage and click on the next image. I hope this is also a temporary behaviour.

You need to click towards the right end of photo to go to the next pic. Clicking on left leads to previous pic.

EDIT: I was on mobile earlier. The Issue now cropped on my PC. Hope the "team" is fixing it!

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

What has happened to the gallery section? Clicking on any image opens the image in the browser, not the slideshow viewer that was available before.

Hopefully this is not deliberate. I am guessing it was the use of a JS before which has stopped working for some reason.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

Couple of Suggestions

-Could we have a way to batch upload attachments? Current way takes a lot of time in case of more than one attachments.

--When Assembly Line topics go public, they don't appear in New Topics at that time.
As a result, many new interesting topics/ownership threads go unnoticed.

+1 to this.
Also, many a times, while uploading pics with only numbers, chances of same pic being uploaded twice is possible, or a pic being missed in series.

Also, can we have a provision to only the images in a particular thread without the posts.
Yes, by clicking the attachment icon next to the thread's name, a list of images does appear, but is it possible to view them in a gallery format and change the image without exiting the window.

Attaching the image list which appears when clicked on the attachment icon. This is fine, but the gallery type would do much better.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

yeah even I agree that we should get a new uploader.
Something similar to what Facebook has, uploading many pics at the same time.
The current uploader is not bad but it gets a bit tiresome to use when uploading many pics.

Thanks

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but here goes : Why is the D-I-Y thread section placed under ICE category?
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/diy-do-yourself/

Not all DIYs have to do with the ICE modifications (as we can see from clicking on that list of DIYs), so it would be a better thing to move out the DIY section to something more generic, like the 'Modifications and Accessories' section which can cover every DIY topic under its umbrella. This, in my humble opinion, will be the obvious place where readers first search for information, ICE related or otherwise. Honestly, if I was looking for DIY threads on something non-ICE related, I would be super confused right now on where to search.

Alternatively, perhaps the moderators can consider creating a DIY section under 'Modifications and Accessories' and moving all non-ICE DIY threads there, whilst retaining DIY ICE threads within the existing place. Just a suggestion.

Came to this thread to say this and this is what I saw. You voiced my concerns while writing a new ownership review.

Just realized that an in-depth review is no easy task and managing attachments can drive you nuts. Can we please have batch uploads.

About the second point - I don't know whether it is just because that the first post in the assembly line thread is of older date? If that is so, I'm wondering how can this suggestion be ever implemented.
