My Firefox browser is notifying me that the Team-BHP site is not secure. Have attached the screenshot. No such intimation was given either on Safari or Chrome.

Thanks!
I have discovered this small nifty extension, HTTPS Everywhere, works for Chrome, Firefox, Opera, though Safari is not yet supported.

https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere

It converts to available https versions of sites available and force encrypts google analytics.

Edit :
Mods FYI,
Upon analysis this site seems genuine, and has received donations from many pop companies, incl. DuckDuckGo.
They have another system tool, called Certbot, [ https://certbot.eff.org/ ] which can be installed on the server itself and can convert http incoming requests to https automatically.

PS : Not personally related to the extension in anyway, and don't vouch for it's authenticity. It has worked for me, thus have shared it for other interested members.

Don't worry about it. EFF is a very revered organisation, and not just because of the towering reputation of its founder, John Gilmore.

It works for me also in getting rid of a problem I had where http and https links in T-BHP display in different themes. Now I can be sure of always getting the https page, and this getting my chosen theme.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

Since morning I am getting this message about flash update. Not facing this on my tab or desktop at home, but at work this message is popping up. And when I press "Esc" or "Ok", a small file is downloaded. This happens even if I refresh a page. Am I the only one facing this ? Or is it my work PC which is culprit ?

Looking at the message, it doesn't look like one from a certified site.

Most probably a message from some spam/ virus site.

This is an attempt to infect your computer. The steps are:

* Tell you something is seriously wrong with your computer.
* Offer a download to fix the problem.
* Once you install the download, your computer is at the mercy of the attacker.

You can send the downloaded file to a service like virustotal.com to confirm, but in my mind there is no doubt.

On otherwise reputable sites (like team-bhp.com) these sort of things arrive by way of ad networks, tracking systems etc. integration. The permanent solution is not to be mentioned here so I won't.

It is not me but the curious cat inside that is asking this: what does the "awaiting email confirmation" status under some user names mean?

Suggestion w.r.t decals of TBHP

How about forum adds a section that enables the member to order decals which will have the TBHP username printed for the decals? This way, we can recognize our fellow members when we notice the stickers on their rides

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

So we can now share posts through Whatsapp? Seeing this from the morning:

Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians-d039c6fab5d44da090873a83cc71e8dc.jpeg

Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians-dbd9333df28d41f7a10b200764ccba85.jpeg

I’m able to see that only when logged out, it dissapears when I’m online. Clicking on that opens a new tab and takes me to a new webpage.

When I’m offline:

The default is "auto". For some reason it's not working on your computer/mobile.

Is there anything syncing your cookies between devices?

What I suggest is you clear your cookies on both browsers. That should fix it.

Make sure you're clearing the Team-BHP cookies, and from "All time" - not just "this week" etc.

Noted, and added to the list!

Should be done the next time the Smartphone skin is updated.

This has been discussed a few times in this thread. We can't just purge accounts because a member hasn't logged in in X months / years.

In these cases do use the Google Search box (top right corner on the default BHP Silver & Smartphone skins).

Malformed Youtube link. The next time you see something like this, report the post (or a nearby post) and the mods will look into it.

Once we have enough threads for a EV section we'll consider this. At the moment, we don't have enough for a dedicated section.

Unfortunately not possible :(

A workaround : "Search within Thread" for the member's name. This will return results of posts where they have been quoted!

Eg. if you search this thread for "swissknife" - this post from me will be the most recent result.

Has this resolved itself?

Do check whether you're on http or httpS (or being switched between the two) -- as it's possible to be logged in on one and not on the other -- leading you to believe you're being logged out.

Today's Posts (Shown to Guests) = All new posts in the last 24 hours.

New Posts (Shown to logged in members) = All new posts since your last visit! (Even if it was several days ago)

If you want to be logged in and still force "Today's posts" you can bookmark this link (TODAY's POSTS).

Yes, this looks like local malware in your case. No one else has reported this.

The user has not clicked the link emailed to them to confirm ownership of the linked email address for their Team-BHP account. This happens for new sign-ups, as well as existing members who update/change their linked email address.

Often requested, though there's a few problems with logistics and longevity.

Maybe sometime in the future we'll be able to offer this.

Yes, something we're currently testing. The button will only show to guests (non-logged in users) for now.

What "new webpage" is this taking you to?
Do you have Whatsapp installed?
What device are you using?

Thanks,
