I agree with your reasoning, theMag, but it would honestly be impossible for all members to mention their source of information. As you have mentioned, insider information frequently makes its way to our board....most of which have actually turned out into hard core facts. This is not something that is exclusive to our board either, but covers just about any source of news.

At the end of the day, it is best to use your own judgement in accepting / filtering out "scoop" information. But if you do see anything that seems entirely unreasonable, feel free to use the "report this post to a moderator" linky.

Hello GTO,

is there any way to sort out a particular car from the BHP garage?

for example, if i am looking specifically for pics of a particular make of a car, for eg: a palio s10? can i get to do that?

I am in this page
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indiancarpictures/

and i am lost, i cant even find a search button :(

I am now browsing through pages of data, to get to see what i want :(

Hi govigov....good time to bring it up, since we are in the process of upgrading all our softwares. Done. We will have a search feature added to the BHP Garage. You can expect it to be functional within a handful of days.

Thanks for the suggestion!

How do we know which post received an infraction?

I received one just now, and am quite puzzled with what the post was!

Crazy_Driver,

The PM informing you of your infraction should have a link to the post if i am not mistaken.

However, in this particular case it seems the post for which you received an infraction was also deleted.

Noticed something weird in some threads...
It shows that your on the second last page (Ex - 24 instead of 25) even if you`v clicked on `last page` but then if you click on the next page (25) you still remain on the same page and actually 23 is the second last page.
Hope that made sense.

I guess its just a glitch.

Crazy_driver,

It probably shows private because the post you recvd an infraction for is now deleted, i dont think it shows the thread instead if the post is missing. I have never received an infraction (touchwood ) but will give it a try sometime.

Faithless,
A DBHPian brought this up a few days back as well. We arent a 100% sure what is causing the problem as yet, possibilities include -
1. We have currently stepped up to a newer version of Vbulletin.
2. The software gets the total number of pages by figuring out # of posts / posts per page. However, it doesnt take into account deleted posts.

I think GTO has made a note of this and will see if we can find the culprit.

There you go, govigov. The search feature for BHP Garage has now been implemented.

Glad you do! Also notice the scrolling feature (previous / next picture) when viewing photos. A BHPian had previously requested this.

I'm unable to open the "pics of weird and wacky mod" thread...I've been trying to open this thread for the past few days and always the reply is " Browser unable to open the thread"....
I don't think its a browser problem because i'm able to open and browse through any other thread.

I don't if this is a temporary problem due to the upgrade but the "reply" button doesn't work. If I click on it, the quick reply box is activated. I have to quote a post to go the main reply page.

Same here. This is the error that I get
The page isn't redirecting properly.
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

I share the same views on the weird and wacky mod jobs thread. Although I also saw something strange on the thread when it opened once. You see from the snapshot below that I was on the last page of postings and still it showed me that I had a few more pages to go:
