Thanks GTO. This is found in the other classifieds websites too. Feel that people just dont bother after the vehicle has been sold.

what I meant was ,even after the item is sold, it stays there , and the older unsold items get drowned among the sold stuff

case in point , the laptop here
Team-BHP Classifieds - Gadgets & Computers - Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds
can an option be added to filter out the items which have status "sold"

So essentially, all the "SOLD" items in the section should move to the end/last page of the section.

GTO can confirm if this feature is available or can be added.

Thank you for the suggestion. We have added a script which will delete all SOLD ads after 30 days.

GTO : The least that a seller can do is mark his product as "sold".

There really is nothing we can do here, is there?
Is it possible that :
1. We could set a 15 day life for any ad.
2. The ad can continue after the 15 day period for another 15 days by confirming a continuation. - If this kind of a feature is available. Some thing like our passwords expiry reminders.
3. If the user forgets to / does not confirm a continuation, the ad gets automatically deleted.

Also, can we have a separate ad category for ICE & Alloys & Wheels ? These - esp the ICE - are getting drowned amongst the other items in accessories section.

Ads still appearing?

Although I have logged in to TBHP, the ad banner still appears. If I click on Remove link, it takes me to Registration page. Please see the attached screenshot.

Under the "More" tab there is an option for "Store" has this started working yet? I am getting an error when i try to order a sticker.

EDIT: The "more" tab comes only in the TBHP Black theme.

Interesting suggestion, Condor. We do offer limited day runs for classifieds, though most ads (predictably) have been uploaded with the no-expiry option.

I will be very keen to incorporate your suggestion. This will be completed soon, but 15 days is probably too short. Maybe 30 - 45 days, after which the seller has to compulsorily renew.

Most definitely. We will create a new category for ICE over the weekend.

Hi Pawan, this problem has been discussed before. You are using skins other than BHP Silver / Black, which are the newer generation skins and enjoy full support from our developers. Please switch over to the BHP skins that have been custom-designed only for Team-BHP.

Hold on for a bit, revved up. The store will be functional with Team-BHP goodies shortly.

Search Options

An observation when using the search option: I find the search options that we see in the Advanced search - search Posts / Search thread titles to be much more useful than the regular search options we see on the main menu bar (on any page).

If others too feel this way, can we modify the search utility to use the options we see in the 2nd part of the image here - Search Entire Posts / Search titles only.

Selecting "Show posts" (as seen in the first part of the image) would return a long list of links to posts from different threads, and one would need to then browse (the summary of) each post listed there to find what he is looking for.

Eg:
Search for "Cedia" - Show threads option - returns 28 pages of results.
Search for "Cedia" - Show posts option - returns 165 pages of results.

Searching "entire posts" will return the same results as Search using "Show threads".

Often, we know that the key-word would be in the thread title itself. This is where a search in thread titles only is useful with it's precision.

Results of search in thread titles only would direct us to very specific list of threads. (And a properly titled thread would have they key-words in the title itself).

@Condor : Simply Put the Forum software gives us two options for search:

Quick Search: From main menu bar
Detailed Search: From the Advanced Search.

If you are sure of what you are looking for use Quick Search if not Advanced is there

The advanced Search provides a lot of other options as well.

@Techno, yes- that's correct.

I find one option in each of these two search methods to be very useful and the other option -to be an unused option.

So, I feel that combining the two regularly used options would actually make the search method more useful.

The advanced search needs to be there as it is -no changes there. Am refering to the search option on the main menu bar.
