Scary. Even with all the tech, brain and man power the world has, they couldnt find even a piece of the aircraft even after a week.

Hello Guyz,
Me no aviation expert but Air Crash investigation is one series that has had be glued to the TV most of the time.
Too much imagination but with all this technology why is not possible for a blackbox to be able to be fitted with tiny computer which can just utilize GPS and navigate to the surface of the water? (ofcourse if the blackbox has survived the crash). If not atleast a facility for the blackbox to stay afloat on water?
Further, doest it sound to you guys that it is kind of far fetched that the team fished out sea "trash" 1000 km into the sea and they believe that the oil slick could be from a ship when they themselves state that the kind of fuel doesnt look like that of a ship?
Well, they say that they had been getting message about a machine failure, but wouldnt it be too unconventional to think that it is unlikely that the position of the aircraft at that specific point atleast is known to the ATC? Atleast should we believe that an Airbus relies on one single array of computers the failure of which can kill everyone onboard? Aren't they meant to be fail safe real time system which could switch to alternate computing systems if the main systems fail.
What are the possibility that the aircraft was hit by or involved in a accident caused by a government funded experiment? A test of electronic warfare or may be an accidental involvement of a civilian airplane in a military experiment?
With the list of passengers not being released, could this be an orchestrated accident to wipe out a few key people on that plane?
Could the plane have been carrying something so drastically explosive that it fused matter or the consignment be that important to be destroyed?
A key chain of events have been explained that could have been the cause but wouldnt it be too unlikely for all of that to have happened at the same time. The recent theory regarding thunderstorms and the wrong speed of the aircraft calculated by the pitot tube is another one to the add to the string of events.
Well, it is kind of unbelievable that all of these unfortunate events happened so quickly that the Pilots or crew didn't have time for a distress call :(. My heart goes out to all those people who lost their lives and to their families who still are not sure if they have lost their loved lones.
With no evident aircraft debris found yet, could the plan have been hijacked to a remote location once its key electrical/ electronics/ tracking devices were disabled?
Reasons so obvious, why is all involved agencies keen to discard the possibily of an attack?
Though highly questionable, the first day when this news came out, there was even a news items on some Brazilian channel, of the passengers on board sending text messages or SMS to their loved ones stating their fear about not making it through.

Ofcourse it not beyond question of a phenomenon that is yet to be acknowledged by man kind, which could be powerful enough to destroy anything on its path, may be as simple as an electro-magnetic blast or may be a set pattern of high velocity winds which ripped through the metal bird shredding it like bits of paper :(.
I recollect of a case being involved in a slightly violent turbulence once on a flight to Singapore, only to be gripping onto the arm of your chair sinking my nails into it not knowing when you are next going to feel weightlessness. The sensation was quite disturbing with trays being thrown around, small kids crying and the sudden realization that you are high up on the air with nothing below you, clinging onto to a huge metal tube that man expects to should defy gravity at all times.
I recollect a comment by someone "It is not a miracle that a plane crashed but ofcourse it is one to know that it took off and landed safely since you are relying on your skills to overcome the boundaries set by nature"
Call it academic interest or sheer inquisitiveness or may be even sympathy or perhaps a distant fear, wish that the black box is retrieved and atleast some information is know about why the plane crashed (if it did).
For those who died a silent death, God be with them.
Wow Kris, you have listed out a whole lot of ideas for books about this unfortunate crash - government conspiracy, bermuda triangle, rogue military, terrorist attack, assasination, alien abduction etc.
It seems quite certain that we will see several books on the subject wherein the author butresses his favourite theory about what happened to that ill fated plane.

As vivek said, its not the plane. Same old tale, of humans being abducted. Its been 3-4 days now since the crash, and still no trace of the plane or its victims.Where could it all have vanished?
I don't say that I believe in UFOs and aliens, but there's a lot that can't be explained. I was just quoting my colleague, who came up with this thought process of linking the Bermuda Triangle & UFOs etc.
Right now suspicion is on air speed sensor malfunction causing plane to fly too slow and stall.
Sickening fact is that this has happened in the recent past twice... in 1996 and 1999.

The Airbus A330-200 could have flown too fast into the turbulence and ripped itself apart in flight, falling to the Atlantic ocean in pieces due to flying too fast.
Why do we guess so?
Ice build-up on the pitot tube would cause the measured pressure differential to be low (not high!).
This would be interpreted as too low a speed and the pilots or autothrottle would try to compensate by increasing the speed. This could exceed the max safe speed for the turbulence inside the violent storm cloud. The delicate Airbus would shake apart ... like a brittle car taking a bumpy road, far too fast and falling to pieces.
just curious. Up in the air, surrounded by clouds, do pilots have any sense of what speed they are traveling at, so they can override the autothrottle?
as per recent sources, 17 bodies have been found and some airplane debris.
the recovered debris is tail fin from the plane.
dental records and dna test would be done to identify the bodies.

If it floats, there are chances of it being swept away by currents. I think it makes greater sense to sink, and emit signals from its location.
There are a couple of photos doing the rounds in the internet showing a plane being ripped apart & people flying around & out. Anyone got that ?

Two shots taken inside the plane before it crashed. Unbelievable! Photos taken inside the GOL B 737 aircraft that was involved in a mid air collision and crashed.....
A B737 had a mid air collision with the Embraer Legacy while cruising at 35,000 feet over South America. The Embraer Legacy, though seriously damaged with the winglet ripped off, managed to make a landing at a nearby airstrip in the midst of the Amazon jungle. The crew and passengers of the Embraer Legacy had no idea what they had hit. The B737 however crashed, killing all crew and passengers on board.
The two photos attached were apparently taken by one of the passengers in the B737, just after the collision and before the aircraft crashed. The photos were retrieved from the camera's memory stick. You will never get to see photos like this. In the first photo, there is a gaping hole in the fuselage through which you can see the tail plane and vertical fin of the aircraft. In the second photo, one of the passengers is being sucked out of the gaping hole.
These photos were found in a digital Casio Z750, amidst the remains in Serra do Cachimbo. Although the camera was destroyed, the Memory Stick was recovered. Investigating the serial number of the camera, the owner was identified as Paulo G. Muller, an actor of a theatre for children known in the outskirts of Porto Alegre. It can be imagined that he was standing during the impact with the Embraer Legacy and during the turbulence, he managed to take these photos, just seconds after the tail loss the aircraft plunged. So the camera was found near the cockpit. The structural stress probably ripped the engines away, diminishing the falling speed, protecting the electronic equipment but not unfortunately the victims. Paulo Muller leaves behind two daughters, Bruna and Beatriz.
