Nice to see Astraeus with Iron Maiden marking on the Air craft.Im not too sure if Sir Bruce would fly to India. If im right,he heads the marketing at Astraeus and normally flies short distances.

OT but hillram, if you have seen the Flight 666 dvd by chance, I think he did fly the modified aircraft during that World Tour - and those were some huge distances. I also remember reading about his flying the evacuation flights from Lebanon to the UK last year.

Some colorful ones.

A mixed airline carrier at Langkawi Airport in Malaysia, it ferry's passengers booked thru multiple airlines.
(We had booked via Air Asia, and I could see Air Asia painted on it as well :))

The first pics is of a Westjet Boeing 737-600 or 700.

In the second pic, its a United Airlines Airbus( could be A319 or 320) and on the right corner, the tail fin is of a Continental Airlines aircraft( not possible make out which type).

Indigo Airlines A320 VT-INZ at the Ahmedabad Airport. Photo taken using my mobile phone camera while taking the same flight to COK.

Excellent pics! Love the big flying birds :)

Speaking of which, any flight simulator fans in here?

@ra1 I have spent hours flying a F22 sim i had once about 8 yrs ago. Due to lack of patience i never could enjoy MS FlightSim.

BY any chance, was it Novalogic's F-22 Raptor? It was my first slight sim too and have been addicted to flight sims ever since, both civvie & air combat flight sims.

"Attention unidentified aircraft, you are entering restricted airspace, change course immediately or you will be fired upon". This was something I loved to hear again and again F-22:D

If it also said "flankers" when it detected the black Migs then yes.

EDIT: Yes mine was Novalogic too. Checked it's screenshot to confirm. I purchased a MS SideWinder joystick just to fly the Raptor.

The forced feedback model? In all these years, I managed to break atleast three different joysticks, either pulling back too hard or pushing forward too hard :uncontrol

BTW, if you are really serious and want to get as close to the real fighter Ops, get Falcon 4.0(with freeware mods) or Falcon 4.0: Allied Force. It truly is a rewarding experience once you learn how to use the various systems in an F-16. It is as real as it gets. It has a very steep learning curve, but believe me , nothing in the sim world will thrill you more when you are evading SAMs & AAA and target your enemy at the same time. My proud logbook & my ride - F-16C Block 52 in Falcon 4.0:

Yup. I don't have a PC that can support Falcon 4.0 i think. Does this come in PS2 variant too ? It will be fun on a large screen.

I don't think Falcon 4.0 was ever released for PS2. It was only for PC.

Well this thread has brought back the biggest regret of my life - unable to be a pilot, which in the humdrum of daily issue i had forgotton. But the childlike excitement is still there the moment i look at the aeroplanes. Its a different matter that i get terribly bored on the long haul flights that i have to undertake very frequently (for work). But the mechanics of flying are amazing
