Nice pics Stratos -- my kid and i developed a hobby of observing aircrafts during our stay in Hyderabad -- we had our home from where we could see the runway of begumpet airport

Great pictures, Stratos!

@all: Since photographing the planes is not very easy in Mumbai, I'd like to listen in on the ATC frequencies for Mumbai approaches. After researching the net, I've found a couple of Uniden Radio scanners which can do the job well. Are these LEGAL in India? I'm sure they can be procured from custom-notified shops in Mumbai. Lastly, any Mumbai TBHPians interested in listening to ATC frequencies? We could have a "Listen-In Meet"

Cheers!

I was wondering where to put up the aircraft pics ...put some in the 'non auto image thread' before I realized this one existed! Here are a few weird ones the Air Canada looks like its got an AWACS attached! The second ones tricky and the third is a wintry shot ....

Radio scanners (as they are only receivers) are perfectly legal in India. You can use them safely in India. You can check this thread for more information:

Eclipse in Mumbai??? Were these not grounded by the FAA?

How much do these cost in India exactly? Afaik, they sold a few at 2 Mn USD so about 10 Cr - would this be the cheapest jet in India.

Yes indeed, that's Ed Force One! If you zoom in to the photo, you can see one of the pilots. (does look like Bruce to me)

Unless Seand is also a Maidenhead, he has no idea as to how much potential excitement and awesomeness that aircraft contains! (The Maiden show at Mumbai was fantastic)
