Google Earth is free now, no more money required for using it. It basically gives satellite images of almost anywhere in the world. To see a preview go to
http://maps.google.com and click on satellite view. you can see detailed satellite images of US locations and not so detailed satellite images of other regions. I have posted a screenshot of bangalore, you can make out the outer ring road, belandur lake and the airport easily!
Looks real neat, dude. All Indian cities are sporting a verdant look with the arrival of the monsoons ...
Well, Bangalore still looks green from the top, that's a relief.

Try looking up a little...... the barebones version (which is pretty good IMO) is free.

The software is free (the 10mb file).. but on running it asks for userid and pass which is not free :(
