Confusion: much awaited bike rebuild or a trek with buddies- please help to decide

Hi Friends,

I have few passions in life: automobiles and trekking are two of them.

Now I have a situation where I can pursue either one of them due to 2 major constraints.
1.Time
2.Money

Automobile:
Situation:I have been contemplating rebuild of 4 speed rx 135 into a proper 5 speed with new bore kit and gear box.

Urgency: Spares are drying up fast and rates rocketing like anything. If I wait any more either spares will not be available in future or the prices will be prohibitively heavy for me to take this up later.

Wise thought: I am planning this rebuild not only to see the iconic rx in mint condition, also I will have this bike as my regular ride and do not plan to own any bike in future so it saves some money.

Trek:
Situation:A trek has been planned to Khatmandu in October with my college buddies.

Urgency:I need to decide ASAP as flight rates are climbing as I delay the decision. My buddies are getting married or planning to in near future and will no longer remain bachelors .

Wise thought:The entire trek (including to and from flight charges) will be complete with a max budget of 20K per person which is great. This trek going to be a memorable experience in life (I know for sure as we took up a similar trek last year to Sar-Pass -it was great)

Now the major constraint is money. I have a maximum budget of Rs.20K. And 'll not have the freedom to splurge such an amount again in the near future. So friends please help me to decide.

The parts of 135 will be there for quite some time to come. So don't worry about getting them at all. But if you postpone the trek for it might just not be possible to do so because of the n number of conditions (which includes married life/friends/work etc).

I strongly vouch for the trek!

Thanks for the responses. As I see it now already the Rx 135 5 speed spare parts not available in the market. One can source them through some or the other contacts only that too at much higher prices. As I see it now I'll not be able to spend that much amount for few time to come once I exhaust it on trek.

Also out of these two the bike rebuild would(or should) cost little less as of now.

But as an experience later in the life which would pinch the most!!?? (the fact that I could not accomplish one of these)
