Guns n Roses to rock India !! EDIT: 7th November 2009

I am not sure how many of you are GNR fans, but I certainly enjoy listening to so many of their songs.
It seems the 2009 concerts in Bangalore, delhi and bombay have been confirmed. The bangalore dates are most likely 7th november 2009.
The promoter, some Rhapsody inc (no relation to Real Networks!) set up a site which is now down Rhapsody Inc : We'll be back Soon

I guess they are going to be playing a lot of new stuff from chinese democracy, however there will certainly be a lot of the old hits which made them big

It was not just Axl Rose that made that signature sound.

@jag - lets hope its not a rumour and some form of the new gnr makes it (with axl and buckethead)
besides i was quite bored of the bryan adams concerts. Aerosmith and iron maiden were a refreshing change!

Was a great fan of GNR once , then I saw them perform at some award function a really long time back.
Axl sang like he was constipated.
Hated them from that day.
They have made really GREAT songs , but there is a saying
'Quit when you winning' and GNR's case ' dont come back , ever'

One of the usual small font "Axl rose" from "GUNS N ROSES" tricks.

All ticket promoters do this.

Paul Dianno (erstwhile singer from Maiden) played in the North-East part of India. They promoted it the same way - small font "Paul Dianno" from "IRON MAIDEN!!!"

It's the same thing. They'll be promoting a new album, play 80% of stuff from there and then to please GNR fans they'll do a few old songs from Appetite. I won't go.

Couldnt agree more. Slash+Izzy+Adler+Axl+Only songs from Appetite= Worth It.

I thought Metallica was coming to India this year and GNR made it before them.

If they provide a list of songs

( if they contain all their old favorites) then i am going for sure.

Didnt hear their new album so wouldnt know if it is anywhere close to their older albums

well chinese democracy cannot be compared to the real gnr albums. However if you forget that it has any linkage to GNR and listen to it with an open mind, some of the songs grow on you.
However unless they are playing most of the old stuff, it won't make sense attending the concert.
