If we pick the macro theme, we'll just end up having lot of photos of magnified objects. Macro is not just about a magnified object, it needs very good composition skills and a good macro gear (macro lens + tripod). If I can get one good macro shot a year, I consider myself lucky, and I have a very good macro lens.

We need to set a theme that is challenging as well as doable by most regulars here.

Samurai, What you said is right, it should be doable and members should be able to participate in it.

How about theme "Hills and Valley" as most of us would have had a vacation on Hills. Every body will have a good stock of this theme.

I know Macro is a very difficult subject, that's why I have suggested this theme.
We now know how to handle the Dominant colour theme photography, at the beginning it was really difficult for certain members, but lately they have excelled in this theme.
Same may hold good for Macros too.
