Damn,
Preffered the shorter version of his resume.
got this in my e-mail this evening , guess he's the most qualified PM in the world .
manson .
I think the best and the most desrving person to have ever taken on the eins of India. Hope he continues to do well and takes India to the highs that it so deserves to be at :)
Aahhhh!! He's always been my favorite politician. The most educated and experienced person in our Government. Also,i truly believe that he is the only person who deserves to be our PM.
X
Nor wonder he got such a warm welcome at the white house coz no one in there was probably as experienced and educated as this man.
clap:

Well, you should also consider Rao, the (late) former PM. After all he is the one who gave Mr. Singh an all-important go-ahead order.
Imagine (without these two men) what we would have seen in our roads today? Amby Mark 4, Premier Padmini, M800, Zen, M1000..and Bajaj Chetak.
:p
Are you sure about Mr. Rao. Was it not hte World Bank that sort of cajoled us to get our house in order?
Yes i agree... A big share of the credit goes to Rao for picking the right preson for the right job. Also protecting singh from the complexities of running a minority goverment.
Dont want to get into poltics here... but its sad that final resting place of rao was in hydrabad and was not in delhi.
But then, to compensate for singh we could also post the resume of other people in his govt like for ex, mr.lallo prasad yadav. :p

I think it happened in a sequence of events that took place in the early '90s... (dont know these are absolutely correct)
- collapse of the USSR (and the damn socialist way of thinking)
- the momentum of China (in stark contrast with the USSR)
- our creditor's demand for pledging of gold (our forex reserves were so low)
- the success of two companies of Bangalore , TI and Motorola (proof for our capabilities of "global delivery model")
-yes, there could be cajolement from the WB and IMF. But then it was the only -and the right-way out...
@gkrishn, I fully agree with you, but then AP and Hyd were his fav places, right?
I dont know we can discuss politics here, People generally hate politics so much in these days.
Mods will kick me out if I post a Resume of Mr.Yadav...:-)

the first 2 points, i feel, are irrelevent.
Also you forget to mention what actually triggered collapse(well... almost) of the economy... Mr.V.P.Singh's stint as PM...
agree: Dr. Singh gets my vote for the best politician. hes hardworking, down to earth and honest. clap: they dont make em like this anymore. lets pray he stays on for a few years at least...india sudhar jayega yaar
correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't it Rajiv Gandhi who brought Mr.Singh into politics in 1991 to get the country out from the balance of payments ?
manson .
