Try shops which supply labs and Chemists.
I just asked my college Chemistry lab where they bought stuff and went there.

I once bought either methanol or ethanol there. I forget which.

A good shop will guarantee purity.

If i'm not mistaken, Castor oil is used as a medication. So that can be picked up there as well.

I tried Dabur castor oil in my RX long back.. well the exhaust smelled nice... but it was too expensive compared to the regular 2T oil, so switched back to 2T. Bike ran fine on castor oil

Is it not possible to use 2T oil for lubrication in RC engines.. or does 2T have issues with RC fuel? Btw what are the constituents of RC fuel?

Edit: Oh! This is one of those dormant threads brought back to life!

For nitro RC engines, the constituents are Methanol, Castor Oil and nitromethane. The ratio of methanol to castor oil is normally 4:1 and then add 5-10% nitromethane of the total amount of methanol+castor oil. More the nitromethane- more the power but lesser engine life! Hope this helps!
