Maruti Zen - Always admired it for its peppy looks and drive. Could'nt afford it then hence settled for a M800.
Accent Viva Crdi - Got a liking for its looks. Beyond budget at the time of consideration, so settled for a Santro.
Fiesta S - Loved it when I test drove it. But mind over heart decision made me move towards ANHC. Still it turns my head and heart skips a beat when I see it on road, especially the Fiesta S Aquarious Blue

Contessa Classic 1.8, Awesome! Still remember having dinner, spread out on the flat bonnet, which is so wide that you've got to shout to the person on the other side.... yeah really...

Hi,

Chevrolet Forester.

When it was available, it was out of budget for me.

When the budget was there, the car was no longer in production.

Maruthi Esteem - always wanted to have one, can afford one, but parking and other problems keeps me from going for it

MM540 / Jeep - Still I can spend hours looking at any Jeep. Will buy one for sure.

Contessa - want to buy one and mod it to make it a muscle car.

Forrester - Love the car, but no more in radar.

Baleno - Superb engine, and love the 'understated' element.

The 3 cars i wanted very badly but could not manage :-
1 - Maruti Esteem - Could not persuade him to buy, when my time came it was too old. But one of my friends had it. LIGHT, ZIPPY & A HOOOT TO DRIVE- is the way to describe her.

2 - TATA SIERRA TURBO 4*4 - This was one SUV that drips with ATTITUTE. Just add alloys & the whole road looks at you. And the 4*4 was icing in the cake. But TATA hardly sold any 4*4 Sierra's.Unfortunately was dead by the time i had money!!!!

3 - MAHINDRA CLASSIC - I am just one of those thousands who repend for not being one of owners of these beauties.

None of the cars I had the hots for was a commercial success.

1. Contessa Classic 1.8 GL - Petrol Conty, white, with all the good stuff. (Family had one in Delhi, sold it for 6K as it was not being used). Will buy and restore another soon. But will make it the original Vauxhall Victor and put an obscenity of an engine.
2. Nissan Jonga With the Hino Truck Engine 4.0L 103 bhp. Torque Monster.
3. Tata Safari - In 1998, it was the biggest car a small town boy had seen. I own one now. EX 4x2 TCIC
4. MM 550 XD - Army edition - HAVE to buy (rather build) myself this before my 30th birthday.
5. Standard 2000 - Wonder how this car never got a mention in the 5 pages so far.. Of course it was bad to drive with the 1.8L Vanguard engine. But engines can be bought, right. Atleast we could have bought the orginal engine of the Rover 3500.

What a beauty sir, luckily have driven both the petrol (straight six 4000cc)
and the diesel, wow what nostalgia does to you, man. You could drive the drive the petrol all day withuot hardly changing the gears (all 3 of them) so much torque..

My list includes many favorites
1) Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Way beyond the budget at the time of buying,so settled for an 800.

2)Maruti Suzuki Esteem: Wow,just loved this car, made up my mind and got one just before production stopped and was replaced by DZire.

3)Hyundai Accent Viva CRDi:Stonker diesel engine and superb looks, cudnt afford this one too.Dunno why producton stopped.

4)Maruti Gypsy: Very good off roader, but a great gas guzzler too.Fun to drive. Was not my dad's taste.

5)Maruti Suzuki Alto 1.1VXi/ Zen ( Jelly Bean shape): Both were fun to drive, but cudnt buy any of them since Zen was replaced by Estilo and Alto 1.1 was no longer available and finally settled for Alto LX.Still looking for second hand ones of both the beauties.

6) Tata Safari 2.2 Dicor: My favorite among SUV's,will be buying one soon.

7) Honda Accord V6/Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara V6: Both the cars are simply amazing for their engines, cant afford one for the time being.

8)OHC 1.6 VTec: Another favorite,beautiful streamlined looks,looking for a second hand.
