Re: Spooky Experiences : Share them here

The following was shot at Chandratal, Spiti. And while it boasts no shots of UFOs, the narrative is gripping, specially as it refers to an earlier expedition by a team of ISRO scientists & geologists (which appeared in India Today first). Both remain a mystery as of now :

Re: Spooky Experiences : Share them here

How spooky is this on a scale of 1 to 10? Authentic?

Pretty sure that there was a remote control mechanism rigged onto that wheelchair. The way it was moving looked just like how those remote controlled toy cars would move when operated from afar Authenticity is therefore highly suspect.

Re: Spooky Experiences : Share them here

It looks like a plain vanilla wheel chair. It doesn't have any extra battery pack or controls. And no sane person would leave an expensive remote/battery operated wheel chair in an open space such as that.

A rough rendering of a remote/ battery operated wheel chair:

Any modified opinion?

On a scale of 1 to 10 this is -10 (minus ten). Looks like a radio controlled and made especially for social media. Even die hard ghost believers wont fall for this hence the minus 10 score.

That says ghosts are pretty bored with their life

Everywhere around the world, ghosts are moving chairs, closing/opening doors, and all the pretty boring stuffs!

It looks like a plain chair with no motor or accessories. Most spooky videos are filmed in hospitals and this is one of them. Notice that the chairs are all empty in reception and how the wheel chair does not pick up speed when moving down the slope. Spooky now?.

Am not sure if you have seen my post above. Its a normal wheel chair with no radio controls.

This video was discussed on a "not so TRP hungry" news channel too. They seem to blame the wind which I don't buy. The much lighter fiber chairs are intact and the wheel chair is correctly wheeled out without hitting anywhere.

PS: Am not a ghost believer. But this video is little intriguing.

Re: Spooky Experiences : Share them here

All spooky stories remain horrifying and will be attributed to Ghosts till a proper reason is chalked out. Once reason is found clearly, then, everyone forgets they were taken for a ghost ride and starts looking for next ghost story.

Really? Well then I suppose the dude who did this whole shebang was not sane. More importantly, the chair looks like a run of the mill ordinary wheelchair, nothing fancy or overly expensive, or anything like the picture you have posted.

Haha.. completely agree sir. I had exactly the same thought when I saw the way the chair was moving.

That's precisely the point! How can the wheelchair be radio controlled without all the fancy gadgetry? And why would a hospital use a radio controlled wheelchair to wheel its patients?

For those rebuking this video as just another trick, it is noteworthy that the wheelchair continues to move on its own, despite not being on a slope. It appears like the wheelchair is being guided by a force.
While even the security guard wants to believe that it may have happened because of the wind, he mentioned that he was suddenly feeling very cold (and mind you, it is not winter yet). It is believed that when ghosts or spirits are near you, you feel a little cold.

Thanks for the link. A comment in that link explains the reason behind that Ghost movement and is a very valid reason. When you're seeing something unusual, it's natural to get goosebumps or to feel cold and in this case, it was windy and it could be any of these factors for the security guard to have felt cold.

Well... the image you quoted attributes "wind" as a force that triggered the movement. However, if you carefully notice the beginning of the video, the wheelchair is steered carefully, to ensure that it doesn't hit the plastic chair. I don't know if winds could be so tactful.

I rest my case!

Well, you know, as the saying goes - Where there's a wheel, there's a way!

Nice video - just the kind to start a discussion rolling! Authentic or not is not the point I think. The fact that it got a fair number of responses - both pro & con - is just what the thread needs.
I shall continue believing that there is more to our world than meets the eye - or our other 4 senses.
