Yeah, HPTDC's Hatu is a nice place. Have stopped there many times.
Next time, I'll like to see that window & drawer!

narkanda has been my favourite getaway since 4-5 years and I go there almost 2-3 times a year, and i have stayed in that hotel you talking about and so have my friends, and that too a lot of times.

In the post of Nishant, mentioned two guys may be you and your friend.lol:

So, why you scared Nishant?:D

Guys, the hotel/room may not be haunted/scary per se. What I wanted to narrate was the spooky experience that me and my friend had. And the weird coincidence that my friend had seen the exact same room, its layout, the drawer and its contents in his dream long time back.

Oh my god, this happens in my room too, but its not consistent as 30 minutes, some times it lasts upto a day or two. I was spooked but until someone told me that, apparently if the wall is uneven the clock may not be upright and some clocks wont work if its tilted/slanting (dont know how far this is true, but i'd rather believe this theory rather than some spooky story giving me sleepless nights :)).

Did the clocks completely stop dead or would work on again if placed elsewhere? and like others pointed out check if the cells drained out completely? In that case maybe some kind of electromagnetic force on the other side of the wall draining out the cells.

Take a compass and check for any type of magnetic deflection, seams there is a magnetic zone arround that wall.

Anyways, I noticed a creaking, flapping wooden window at the end of the corridor, just before turning right towards our room. Strangely, there was no wind passage in the entire corridor but still the window panes were vibrating as if strong winds were hitting them. I asked the guy to close the window tight - and then we realized - there was a solid brick wall behind that window! Amazing, we felt, but decided to still check out the room.

As soon me and my friend entered the room, we felt surrounded by a strange aura/force (NOTE - none of us talked to each other at this point. He told me this later). I had to use the washroom so immidiately rushed there while my friend starting checking out the room.

To my ultimate horror, the white towel in the washroom has blood stains on it! It looked like a scene straight out of a Bollywood movie. I washed my face and pulled out the towel to wipe. Just before wiping, while looking at myself in the mirror, I saw blood stains. I ran out and complained to the bell boy. He was shocked too and could not believe his eyes.

In the meanwhile, I could see my friend's face turn pale/white. He appeared to be frozen at a spot - right where I had left him when I went to the restroom. I went to the large window where he was standing and staring out - we were both looking directly at a deep valley - just outside the window! No walls, no protective parapet - just plain death if somebody accidentally falls off the window.

Now this in interesting. He told me that if I open the drawer on the study table, I would find a xxx brand matchbox (dont remember the name now) with exactly 3 matchsticks and a red candle which is half burnt.

With shaking hands, I opened the drawer and behold - it was exactly as described. We were both convinced that we cannot stay at the hotel and literally ran downstairs.

I don't think so that's the case - I was there in the very same hotel - There is a window at the end of the corridor - when you open the window you can see the lawns on the ground floor.

I presume that you are talking about the last room on the right of the corridor on the first floor - there should be a window that would open towards the lawns of the hotel - which incidentally has a set of stairs going downwards into the valley...
Did you have too much to drink before you had checked in???

@Abbas, The story indeed seems like a copy paste:)

yes its a copy paste, i edited some part of it to present you from my point of view. I thought why wasting my time when its already written by my frineds in other forum. This was originally written by hmasalia on tech enclave. Its his wife who was with us in the car. This incident happened on 26th july 2008. Murtaza Johar, hussain Masalia are all my gang.

Akshay i can explain it for Abbas.:)

Both Abbas and Mr. Hmasalia, from other link, have mentioned that there were 7 friends including a women in the car.
Abbas said she was his friend's wife and Mr.Hmasalia says thats his wife.

So both Abbas and Mr.Hmasalia may be friends and were travelling in same vehicle when they had such experience. We have to believe it even if this same content is posted in 6 different websites because they were total 6 friends in the car.:D

You are aboslutely right, i am the one who has posted it last on TeamBHp. Since none of my other friends is on this website. i thought i would share it with fellow BHPians too.

i quoted his message, coz i clearly remembered reading this earlier as i am active on the other forum.

I am a member at tech enclave too. but not an active one. I copy pasted it from that thread. I thought i should paste it here too since not many people would be aware or BCM or Techenclave. Guess i was wrong. I was the one who was driving the car and it was me and hussain masalia (hmasalia on techenclave) who negociated with the villagers as only we two had access to open windows in the car. The rear of the sierra is closed glass.

I am in last year of graduation. And this friend is in his first. He is searching for a guru to learn hathayoga. And wants me to accompany him to the distant place where we will meet somebody else, who will direct us to the real guru.

It is close to 7PM by the time we reach the place. The host, (a poet, bhagwatkar etc), asks us to stay back overnight, and will take us to the guru next day. Se spend a couple of hours talking, and I realise that we are being interviewed. I make it clear - no mumbojumbo for me - and I am only accompanying a friend, my other friends would rather go to the watering hole, and I detest that kind of friendship, I say.

So, we go to the host's guest room. we watch the TV for may be half an hour, a small B&W 14inch one, and switch it off as soon as the "latenight" pic comes on (DD is the only channel available anywhere at that time).

The "contract" is that we have to wake up at 6 AM, and the guy who wakes up first, will wake up the other. Both of us are tired, and sleep immediately. The cots are in an "L" shape, at opposite corners of the room.

And I wake up real late. Sun is shining bright on me through the window. It is hot, and I am sweating. I look at the clock, and the clock says 6.10. I jump up, and shakes my friend. He shouts "hey not so hard, I will fall down". I do not. He goes "AAAaaaaaa!!!!"

And that is when I wake up.

I fumble around for my glasses, locate the clock, and find that the time is 6.10 AM.

This is called Deja Vu. Happened to me a lot of times and is pretty common.

But, deja vu is about a feeling of familiarity. Spookiness here is I dream that I am shaking him. He actually feels that I am shaking him up. He shouts, and then I wake up.

May not be spooky, but more about "out of body" experience.

No, I am not dead. At least, not yet. My soul is firmly within my body.

Only after reading this, I get a clear picture of what exactly happened. Reading the first post I was wondering what it was. I thought his shouting too was part of your dream. And what about the meeting with the Real Yoga Guru?

The other side of the wall is the inside of the bathroom. And under the clock is the LCD placed on a table - does that mean anything ?

I am trying to find out why this happens ;)

But LCDs produce minimal electromagnetic radiation compared to a CRT. Any ghost which was fatally wounded by a clock!:Shockked:

Wasn't there a similar incident in the movie 13B? Something about a wall in the puja room that would not allow any nails to be driven in and gave out massive electrical shocks?

That was the funny part. I had acutally written this down in the earlier post, but later deleted it, since it was not spooky enough. Here we go again.

The guru accepts my friend, and directs him to attend a class during weekends in the city. My friend asks for an address, and the guru writes it down on a piece of paper.

After getting out of guru's house, I ask where the address is (I know that I have to guide my friend to that place too - the friend was born and brought up in N. India) It turns out that the place was hardly a couple of hundreds of meters from my home. And that is why the guru's name was familiar to me. (the day before, the host had named the guru, and I remarked that I am familiar with the name).

Actually, I used to spend my spare time in front of the verandah (used to live in an old building at that time), and have noticed this guru pass our house. Actually I was jealous of the guru even then - very old, but walked like an army man doing a march past.

My friend never attended the class. ;-P

But after that, I have started believing in the para normal, and super natural. Have had several pre-monitions. Therefore, I have learnt to trust my sixth sense (never trusted it earlier).

Good tall tale tellers, TBHP guys are.
