Samurai, dont you get to claim insurance on the damage? Would you be opting for that, or is it going to be declared a total loss?

Now we need to do some restoration. Randeep and the others could source parts from Dilli for this
This vehicle was not registered so cannot be insured. Bad luck man. My condolences with ur son man. Now we know vandals can start at a early age

Given that the project was supposed to be your son's work -- how about you re-make the jeep as planned, but also get him to make one as well, side-by-side.

I think that would be ideal in terms of your son's learning, as well as fair to the requirements of the project.

Too bad the Jeep got vandalised and your son could not do much off-roading in it. Goes to show that you are a doting father and I will be aiming to follow in your footsteps when my son grows older.

A bit of good news today. The teacher saw the photographs of the intact Jeep and gave him 10/10 score for the project.

She also gave negative points to couple of vandals who committed the crime.

Next time I'll take W-I-P photos too, and provide the schematics.

On seeing the thread title, i thought your son was in his teens and it was a real jeep. So I didn't mind checking this thread. But i was wrong.

The jeep looks superb.

Next time maybe you can do a coil spring suspension - how about ball pen refills and springs
