I am planning to do the ashtavinayak tour with famlily for the weekend on 25th-27th.
Anybody else planning to do the same.
Just a querry will it be crowded considering its a holiday season but one rarely does temple tour during this time of the year :P
Can fellow members suggest good budget hotel for a night stay on the outskirts of pune.
1st night i would be staying at Ranjangaon
2nd night not decided

whats your plan?
i hope, it is tree day trip.
i suggest, first night stay at pune,
second night stay at bhimashankar.

Long weekend would be too crowded so I am thinking of heading in to the air, literally!! - Actually I am planning to do First course ( total 3 ) in paragliding. I have been planning this for long, but it's took backseat everytime I planned for it earlier. This time, I am determined to do it.

Yes I plan to do it in three days starting on the friday and coming back on sunday.

The following is the itinerary i got from a friend who recently did ashtavinayak.
Day 1. Mumbai- Pali- Mahad- Ranjangaon (stay at Yash Inn Hotel in Ranjangaon)
Day 2. Ranjangaon- Theur- Moregaon- Siddhatek (Stay in Pune)
Day 3. Pune -Lenyadri- Ozar -Malshej- Mumbai
Total approx 850kms.
Please comment on the above and suggest.

Not the long weekend, but right after am driving down to Goa for New Years. What a drive (550 kms of sheer bliss) and what a destination

one of the dates mentioned in the title is my wedding anniversary and the other date is my birthday ! I have got a lot of planning to do. May not go anywhere out of town, it has to be something in Chennai.

Up here in North, I am off to Mountain Trail Resort in Mukteshwar, Uttrakhand. Calm and serene place, hardly any crowds and beautiful scenery!
