welcome to the popular holiday destination. BTW it gets awfully crowded here around the new year time. I mean the huge influx of vehicles overcrowds the narrow goa roads => jams.

Wanted to drive somewhere but not possible due to some family wedding function (on 25th,26th and 27th -all the 3 days) -Looks like these people didnt find any other dates to fix, instead of spoiling the holidays

Just back from Goa after a week of stay and man what a lovely weather, perfect for the beaches. As we were about to leave last weekend we saw a surge of Indian tourists arrive leading to big jams on the narrow roads.

Delhi Guys whatever you do, Kindly avoid coming to Jaipur without prior reservations specially for this weekend. This weekend is a mad house and would not be "that perfect" experience. Following are the reasons for my statement above.

1. Delhi-Jaipur that usually takes 5 hrs is taking 8 hrs due to the congestion and the fly over constructions at Behror & Kotputli.

2. You will find more Delhi cars on Jaipur roads than Jaipur registered cars in Jaipur itself.

3. Guest rooms are at a premium. Those which usually go for 1500/- are going for 4500/- or so. Sad but true.

4. Chokhi Dhani (one of the big tourist attractions) had so much of tourists influx today that they had to shut shop at 19.30 hrs.

5. All tourist places are choko-blocked. So Kindly beware

Hailing from hospitality sector I wish I would never have to discourage people coming to this beautifull city but really this weekend aint the right time.

Regards

Tell me about it! Good news is, we are staying in a nice villa on the north goan beach itself. Most places we'd visit are a short walk away

Leaving early next week and can hardly wait for the 550 kms drive.
