Vanishing Point - a movie with a car as a character as important as hero. Does not fall in Fast and Furious or Tokyo Drift catagory, its a classic.

Bullit
Gone in 60 seconds

There is a french series Taxi 1, 2 & 3. Absolutely superb comedies with some good car chases.

Saw it long back and forgot its name. It was a Laurel and Hardy film, where both try to get into this tiny car (it looked like a Beetle). They finally did it and that was really hilarious!

Does anyone remember "Knight rider" and his driver Michael. This was probably the first show based on a car. For bikes, it was "Street Hawk".

Love both of them.

gone in 60 seconds, The Car (This one's a pretty old movie on a black colored car, & its a horror movie. The car runs on its own. The movie is seriously scarry. The black car is a vintage car and looks a beast, I liked the looks of the car. not sure which car it was. Does any one in this forum know which car that was.)

Hey, I thought I was the only one who had seen that movie. Its a pretty unique horror story, but worth one watch nevertheless (I even have the DVD). The satan-driven car was a one-off designed by some chap, who has also sketched a couple of variants for the Knight Rider series.

Yes The Car. I had a VHS of it too. The car was an old Lincoln. Black with black tints. I remember the intro where the car bumps of a couple of cyclists. The horn of that car sounded so scary when it used to arrive on the scene. Was very young when I saw it first. Why you even get a 1:18 of that car on Ebay by ERTL

Where did you get the DVD from? I enquired with Landmark & Music world in Pune, but they are not even aware about the movie looking at me & had a strange look on their face indicating as if , neither do they have any such movie in stock.

Vinit, got the DVD ages back through one of those "11 DVDs for $1" schemes in the States.

I have the original DVD's of two of Steve McQueen's greatest movies, "Bullitt" & "Le Mans". Evidently Le Mans is quite hard to find now & is regarded as one of the best car racing movies ever made.

If anyone wants a copy of either, PM me.
