It's only in the 2nd movie and only for a short period that O' Connor drives his blue Skyline (R34 GT-R). In the first movie, he drives a lime green Mitsubishi Eclipse in the beginning and an orange Toyota Supra later on. (I'm referring to the first two movies only)

This list of cars is seen only in the remake of Gone In 60 Seconds. Have you seen the original one?

I havent seen the original movie, but the remake is sure awsome. The cars in the movie are bigger than the movie itself. I am sure there are many petrol & diesel heads who have seen the movie more than once just to get the glimse of the cars once again.

Thanks,

Yeah yeah...but I meant referring to F&F in general which includes the latest one too.
And mentioned Skyline cause its my favourite ride!! gets my pulse racing whenever I see them here in the UAE.

Does anyone remember Didi Drives Me Crazy? I saw it about two decades back while in college. I think it was some Italian or Spanish movie dubbed into English. It's slightly OT here because it is a "Truck" movie rather than a car movie.

I had completely forgotten about the movie till that day I caught the last few minutes of one of Timothy Dalton's James Bond movies on TV. For a few minutes I thought it was watching that Didi movie.

Christine

My personal favourite..CHRISTINE...the 1958 plymouth Fury which turns a nerd into a cool dude..trust me..machines are known to have that kind of an effect on people.

Incidentally my 1976 Wine red & Off White 2 Tone Yezdi is also called Christine...reasons obvious !!

Memorable cars in celluloid

Lads,

I am veering slightly off topic.
Whereas I have not been enthusiastic about watching 'car'films for the sake of watching cars alone, I can cite a few films where the scenes/shots involving cars are very engrossing and the cars are the stars of the scenes...

My list (in no particular order):

1. The Italian Job (the original by Phil Collinson, not the Americanised copy) for the Mini Cooper S
2. Bullitt (for the car chase through the streets of San Fransisco)
3. The French Connection
4. Ronin
5. North By Northwest (the Mercedes convertible driven by a 'made drunk' Cary Grant-one of my favourite Hitchcock films and the inspiration of all James Bond films)
6. The Peacemaker
7. Family Plot ( the last Hitchcock release where the brake less car careening down the slope is shot from inside, showing the frenzy of fear of the lead couple)
8. Herbie
9. Ajantrik (a remarkable film by the the remarkable genius Ritwik Ghatak on the emotional bonding between the taxidriver and his battered car)
10. Abhijan by Ray

I'd like to see The Yellow Rolls Royce, starring a mature Ingrid Bergman, which shows the experiences of the Rolls...

Regards

I doubt if this would be the Aston Martin DB1, as the DB1 was built from 1948 till about 1950. The classic DB4 was built from 1959 till 1963. Although I've seen the film, I'll have to see it again to see the DB4.

The DB4 is a timeless design.

bhp-ians, any sightings anywhere?

Regards
