Directly searching for Mananur will not always work.

I used to go quite regularly on Treks into the Agumbe Forest in Shimoga, Karnataka and I feel that is a very good way to get to know the nature. We also used to do camping in the Jungle in the clearing areas.

May be going forward, we can do something like that. Also would like to know what are the options for Trekking (Routes, distances) so that I can come prepared accordingly.

There are apparently three treks from Mannanur. One is a steep climb to Pratap Rudra Fort, the other two are a combination of plains and hill. All the treks will approx take 2-3 hours.
