Sorry to hear this. Also check if this was towed after complaint from local neighbors by mistake and is probably sitting in some impound yard.
My father works with the Insurance company where the car is registered so I don't anticipate any issues there.

Towing isn't a possibility because the road doesn't have any residences, just a govt. school one side and a big park on the other.

I went to Panchsheel club as they usually have CCTV footage of the area but was told that it only covers the exit roads. The club manager asked a very apt question, even if I was to identify the car what good would it be. I told him maybe the timing might help but I know it wouldn't matter. I'm just very sad right now.

My colleagues bike (FZ, KL-29-B-8822) was stolen yesterday from Ernakulam South Railway station. He had left it at the paid parking lot near the eastern (rear) entrance on Friday evening around 7:00 PM. Got the receipt from them as well.

It was missing when he went to pick it up today morning (24/07/2017), on his way back from home. The attendant is supposed to verify the receipt against the vehicle numbers while taking the vehicle out of the lot. However he is unable to provide an answer to how this happened.

The bike may have been stolen over the weekend. Unfortunately, there are no CCTV cameras around the area.

Dear Kochi BHPians, could you kindly give some suggestions/advises. Does anyone have any contacts in police/GCDA who can look into this?

Here is the pic of the bike:

Default **Stolen Toyota Fortuner Alert**

Friends,

My Toyota Fortuner 2014 model, White color, with registeration number HR26/CH/2875, got stolen from outside my house in sector 21B Faridabad. Although the same was stolen on the evening of 7th December, I could not post this alert earlier as I was travelling abroad.

Request any of you to alert me if you spot the vehicle in your area. I know the team bhp community is big so the chances to locating it are higher, even though some time has already passed. attaching a couple of pictures. You can reach out to me via whatsapp @ +966.54.260.7836

Thanks

Hope you have insurance and initiated the paper work for the claim (like FIR etc).

If not, do so ASAP, its important to document that the car is missing from your ownership!

Exactly. My Scorpio was stolen a year back and I even got the FIR closed and insurance money paid out this April. And yesterday a cop from Rajasthan turned up at my place telling me it had been found and was being used to transport drugs.

Heís asking me to come to his police station and give them a statement after I explained about the theft and showed him the FIR etc.

I found a contact of a local lawyer who is a friend of a friend and am taking his advice on how to follow up.

I got to the police station near Chittorgarh and gave them a certified copy (signed by a magistrate) of the FIR closure report and insurance payout letter, FIR original copy. They also took down my narration of the theft.

They then showed me the car - repainted white and with one tyre shot out by a bullet to stop it in a car chase. It was carrying 500 kg of ďAfim ka chooraĒ poppy husks.

Itís in a pitiable state and repainted white instead of its original glorious blue.

Surprisingly, the number on the white Scorpio actually belongs to a S10 Scorpio. I hope this is not a case of mistaken identity wherein the police has zeroed in on this vehicle as yours when in reality it is of someone else.

The engine and chassis number were of my Scorpio. And there was a leather wrap on the steering wheel that Iíd had put in, and a small rip on the side of one of the seats that was in the same place as the one on my old car. Nope itís mine all right :(
