COO Manipal (Mr. Swamy):
"In 30 mins Manipal will give out a press report."
"50-60 admitted. Some are in ICU."
"Some did jump in panic and got injured."
"Helpline number Manipal: 25024202."
People tried to use lifts.
People did not know the topography of the building.
Fire officials shocked that they did not use staircase and fire exits,
and ran for the lifts.
Fortunately, fire did not spread to terrace as it houses diesel etc
for generators.

I am glad that everyone is rescued from the building. Thanks for the update Spitfire. This is a classic example of how UNPREPARED most of the companies are when it comes to emergency evacuation.

Lot people held on their nerves and didnt jump. We from the opposite building kept shouting not to jump.

That would be a Nasty acene. Are all who jumped safe?

What kind of an office is that? People run to lifts in case of fire? Panic neutralises the complete mind?

It would be a miracle if the couple of men and the lady we saw could have made it. They jumped from the seventh floor. The images are going to haunt me for a long long time.

No more casualities please god, please stay away from old air port area to help rescue vehicle movement

Things are better. Traffic is back to the normal chaos.

Please let me know.

IRR is good now and is back to its normal self. Peak hour traffic as usual.
