Petition for road conditions

hey guys there is an online petition to the Chief Commissioner of the Pune Municipal Corporation on the link given below:

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/PUNPOT01/petition.html

please sign this, this is for all the residents of pune and visitors to Pune city..

well i dunno if it will work or not but its worth a shot... there are about 14,000 signatures already that is nothing compared to the almost 5 million population of pune so anybody signing in helps us in Pune, our road conditions are pethetic....

so please sign it, it does not matter whether your from pune or not..

thanks

I wonder about the real outcome of these online petitions. After the floods in Mumbai, there was an SMS campaign. Nothing seems' to have come off that. I wonder if it was just some marketing companies smart idea to get a bunch of numbers for records.

Rtech, whether it makes any difference or not, is another thing. But it sure is getting lot of coverage in local media, and adding pressure on ladden footed administration/politicians.

Just today, saw a picture in newspaper of a white Skoda stuck up in a pothole. It had to be lifted up by people to get out of that ditch (can't be called a pothole).

well this petition was started by some guy in pune, i read it on the fron page of the times of india, so yeah there is a lot of coverage in the media though..... so might help in some way or the other, whether the roads will become better any sooner i doubt... they are lazy ass corrupt government workers... and watever you do will just work on their own pace...

well the blind date thing can be ignored.... that guy must be really bored in life

Already signed it....and yes as Rtech said just the fact that this petition had 11k signs on it in 3/4 days has been publicised in all newspapers etc......
hopefullly some good will come out of it....today it took me 1 hr to reach office (15kms) which in the summer took abt 20-25 mins...also the fact that there were jams due to signals not working didnt help either......

Also PMC has just said they wont do repairs before a spell of sunny weather :-(

How about lynching down the ministers? Guess it'd be more effective.

Have you guys read Naushad Forbes open letter to PMC commissioner? If you have not, you should. He has clinically dissected all petty excuses given by PMC.
