The Team-BHP Swimming Thread

When the heat is on, there’s only one great thing to do. Shed the clothes, slip into a swimsuit, and just DIVE… in the inviting waters of a swimming pool, of course.

Guys,

Please provide information about various swimming pools (indoor or outdoor) present in Delhi. One is Talkatora Swimming Pool, Ridge Road but is closed till 2010 for Commonwealth Games .
Share the complete address of pools, your personal experiences, reviews and anything that you want to.

Thanks

National Sports Club of India.
I am a member there.
It is an amazing pool.
No Time Limit.
Around 5 feet shallow pool and around 12 feet deep pool combined.
If you can, surely go and have a look there.
Its opposite Pragati Maidan. (Close to the former Appu Ghar)

Swimming Pool at the DDA Sport Complex at Dwarka Sector 11. This is pretty well maintained and has been in existence for the last 2 years only so relatively new and decent size.

Can anyone come and enjoy the swim or do we need to become the member. In that case I will be interested in knowing the cash outflow.
If anyone can provide details of swim pool near Noida it will be much of help.

Won't Pragati Maidan will be too far from your place early mornings to have a round or two, I suppose you put up in shakti nagar. How about one in Ashok vihar, some sports complex (I am missing exact name) when aprroaching towards tri nagar from ashok vihar.

It's Majar Dhyan Chand Sports Complex managed by DDA. Have been to the place only once - the pool was nice & clean.

You can also try out Punjabi Bagh Club - the pool is huge, nice and very clean. I am a member over there. I guess, non-members are allowed too.

What are options available to non members.
I used to go for swimming at Hotel Siddhartha. They used to charge around 12k for a season. But the pool is now closed for the past 3-4 years.
I am missing my swimming, but there is nowhere to go except the clubs, which I dont know, whether non members are allowed
