2.30? It's 1.30 PM. You are better off trying from 1.20 PM and every time I tried so, I could get thru. There is no chance usually after 1.35 PM though.

The time varies from city to city. Its 2:30 PM for chennai. Will try today again.

Sorry, but am in Chennai too! And how do they differentiate online booking time for different cities?

Passport Renewal Procedure
Long story on why I need to change place of birth and mother name. To make it short, some 34 years ago, infants could travel on their mother's passport. Travelled as an infant several time on that arrangement. When I got my own after the rule was abolished, my mother's name remained as what it was before her marriage and she renewed her's with new name.

Also no birth certificate concept existed then. My place of birth was wrongly entered as what appears now. Considering I need to procure a BC in the future, won't it cause issues?

Good to know you are from Chennai too. The tatkal opening times as per city are mentioned in below link.

Also the error message I get when I try before 2:30 PM suggested I should try after 2:30 PM. At 2:30 PM the message is Unable to Process your request try after sometime. After 2:45-ish it suggests to try next day after 2:30 PM.

Fed up, called an agent. He promised to get it done in 10 days under normal quota. Lets see.

Thanks. I guess 1.30 worked for me as I was planning to get it done in Kerala. How much is the agent charging for you?

I booked an appointment for the Bangalore PSK sitting in Brisbane. All the system would check for is the city you are booking for, and the current local time vs the stipulated time for appointments to open.

Do anyone has info on how many days Marathalli,Bangalore PSK is dispatching passport for normal applicant with no police verification these days ?.

This depends on the RPO official in counter ''C''.He/She may approve the application with or without Police Verification on case to case basis.Your application must be for renewal of PP.

Its normally one week to 10 days, also depends on availability of booklets as priority is given to Tatkaal applicants.
