So what was the most difficult habit you kicked????
And how did you manage to do so.

If it is a very/most difficult habit, it should be very easy to quit, isn't?

Kicked the butt.... August 2009. If you must know the details of how->
www.whyquit.org contains a step by step guide to how to quit cold-turkey.

And a one-liner from that site keeps me going smoke-free
"Never take another puff!"

Why we persist with bad habits?
Why there is so much fun in bad habits?

I feel minus the bad habits life will be a little less colorful.
Maybe I have been taken over by Satan.

Changing cellphones, yes. From 2001 to 2007 untill I got married I spent close to 3.5 lakhs changing expensive cellphones every month or two, I get bored with all the new phones I buy. I am still addicted but my pocket restricts me from doing so.

For me first is my habit of buying bikes. I used to have a fleet at one time which was reduced considerably after marriage Currently just have the required number to serve the family members.

Second would be smoking. Quit in 2005 and going strong!

Bad habit that I've kicked : Changing cellphones every 6 months.
I used to keep a count on 6 months - and switch over to the latest one immediately after it came out. Now, a bit of sense of unnecessary expenditure has prevailed and i haven't bought a new phone in last 5 motnhs and 20 days.. :P

The one i want to kick - smoking.

Mine the other way round

Had no cars before. Got married and now have 5

Not able to kick this habit.

Used to change mobiles way back in 2002, Now since 5 years, been with the humble Motorola L7.

On the other note, I was very instrumental in making one of my uncles kick the habit of excessive drinking. Now he's a fine gentleman.

Watching movies, all tyes of crap movies. First day First show.
Kicked the habit when the pocket money stopped and had to take a job after college. Realized the true worth of money. I guess after college i.e 1992 I must have seen a max of 7-8 movies in theatres.
These days its a boon coz the its a 1K cost for going to theatres for a family of three.
