Bhopali T-Bhpians

Hi,

I am opening this thread, to know who all belong to city of lakes "Bhopal".
I am in Pune since past 9 years, but my heart still belong to Bhopal.
I was born n brought up there.

Would like to know and share the automotive scene in Bhopal.
How much is it changed in past 10 years.

I remember 10 years back there was not a single Merc sighted on bhopal streets. I am sure the scene must be changed a lot now.

One more thing, Dont limit this thread to Automobiles, it can be any experience about boat club, New market, bada talab, Jyoti talkies.

So keep posting guys!!

Left Bhopal 9 years ago for further studies & then for job.

@sidd25 - Bhopal did have Mercs 10 years ago, E series to be specific but you could count them on fingers, it has changed somewhat but not a lot.

Very True.I myself had sat in one.Belonged to the makers of hunter beer.

I left bhopal in 2000 to pursue higher studies though my folks still stay there.
Still manage to make it there at least once every year.

Lovely city and lovely people.Alas still praying that some IT parks to spring up there so that I can come back to this city.Could never have enough of it.

Its just so euphoric to hear names of different place in bhopal.
Be it mata mandir, Jahangirabad or Shahpura. By the way, I have a house at kolar road. My parents stay there.

"Are khaan ittey bhopali hai yaha", I don't leave in Bhopal anymore, but still a ardent bhopal fan. Well back then bhopal had actually 3-4 Mercs, one with the Som guys, another with travels guy (imported it was), one with a industrialist(E250d) and one with Ex-CM ( C class import).

Top n Town(Taap en Taaun) and Amer bakery (ABH) was destination for bird watching, but most of the so called meetings(baithak as they called it) happened at Pan/Chai shops.everybody had a separate hangout with credit limits(Udhari khata)...
And how can one forget Hakim's food( my personal fav, rate it above any upmarket eatery).....Now thats a great Nostalgic feeling.
Btw i was a BSSS-ite, i think technocrat too is...

Automobile scene has definitely improved these days in bhopal. Count of superbikes along with Mercs & BMWs has gone up these days.
