yup, almonard is a company that specializes in making fans, but they also make high-speed turbine-type blowers, among other things...which is why i asked about checking up on that..
but yes, fan-blades can't be used as propellers, because of the reasons that you specified, and also for the fact that they simply cannot take the sort of high revs that engines subject it to; the blades aren't designed so... |
