Not necessarily, but it will alter the weather for sure. Basically the ocean currents due to global warming changes the weather and this has been happening not only in Chennai, but entire India, Asia & the entire planet as well.

Just on the news that monsoon has reached all parts of India except for western Rajasthan. I wanted to add - and Tamil Nadu. Come on guys, the south-west is almost nil here. Just for the records some days back I saw total rainfall in Chennai since Jun 1 till date = one day's rain in one of the cities on the Malabar coast. A pitty - we need to catch an overnight train to experience monsoon. I will agree about a climate change only if I get monsoon on June 1st for 3 months ;-) Anyway, I do agree there has been quite some weather changes over the years and on the better side.

Finally some respite after some really hot days. Seems it's raining in a few places. Hope last year's weather repeats itself this year too.

Today, Heavy rain in Annanagar and at the same time very hot in Nungambakkam around 10.30-11.00
