Heard this from a colleague

A lady who was in Australia for past 25 years has joined our firm to be back in hometown and she was interested in buying a big and spacious car(SUV/MUV type) and was asking her colleagues about the same.

one guy suggested "WagonR is a big and spacious car,you should buy it"

She replied "Oh really, i was thinking about Honda CRV"

Finally heard she has booked a Scorpio

here are some words from my friend who hates tata nano like anything.

1) Auto Riksha is better than nano, Riksha costs around 1.20 lakhs but it has better engine.
2)Auto Riksha's sheet metal is stronger than nano. he said i cant make dent to auto riksha but i can make to the Nano.
3) Nano With 4 People can not climb hilly roads. but auto riksha can. ohh! okay
4) I told him that people have driven nano from India to Europe. he said they must have done some modifications like increasing bhp, and different engine.
5) i told him i can drive nano with 10 people in it. he said u just cant, i will give you Rs. 7 lakh if you can.
6)he also said that there is only one car in the world, which automatically raise its front 'SHOCKOBSERS' on bad roads.huh!! i really dont know how. can anyone tell me the name of such a car?

Today a comment from a colleague made it to the top 'idiotic' comments i ever heard!

i know Doctors know too little about cars but today my colleague tells me-"There are some Indicas which can run on both diesel and petrol"!

i ask her "maybe it is both petrol and lpg" but she denies and says there is separate tank for diesel and petrol!!

well friends what should i say in reply?i nodded in agreement!

thanks for the link dhanushs. but he said that car automatically detects potholes on the road and raise its 'SHOCKOBSERS'. he meant shock absorbers. :P

Last night while browsing thro TV channles, landed on MTV 'Motorheads' where two girls were driving a Swift and giving some sort of review.
One of them said Swift has ABS which stands for 'Anti Break Locking System' and it's very useful, blah. blah. blah.

A friend overheard some mechs discussing i10 auto, and it made him believe that "all" i10s and i20s dont have a clutch !

When I asked what the difference was, between the new Hyundai Verna SX and the SX option pack, the sales man was quick to reply- " It has advanced technologies like chrome door handles, Engine button, leather seats, more airbags" Though there was no advanced technology involved in the chrome door handles or leather seats, he was able to list the differences between the models pretty well. Finally Hyundai dealers are pulling their socks up I guess.

This one was when my parents, my uncle and me were going from Bombay to Shirdi once in our vRS. My uncle isn't very car minded and its 5.30 am. So, I am dead sleepy in the back seat. My uncle gets in the front passenger seat and starts looking around the car. (He hadn't sat in it before). He sees the "airbag" sign on the dashboard and asks my dad if it will explode if he smashes it with his fist. This awakened me properly that day, but I didn't laugh. LOL

Here's a recent one from me : (will add more as I re-collect and I have another long list of such goof-ups with technology too!)

A friend of mine owns a Nano and it got towed away.
Hence she was late for a party.
When she tells us the reason -
one of my friend's mother (a sort of snobbish female) - exclaims
in Gujurati "Aatil nani gaadi bhi tow thay?"
tranlated
"Such a small car also gets towed away? " (with emphasis on the word small)


We all just din't know where to look !

LOL, and when the VJ who is sitting in the passenger seat says the swift has got good handling (how can someone from the passenger seat know that?), Bani (the VJ who is driving) says, "that's because the swift has got power steering" !!!



Anyways, a colleague of mine in office says she has an S class. but now she is selling off the car & buying a "mini-limousine" in it's place!
