Weird logic I must say.that day I learnt what it feels and means to be smoked. I didnt give up next day I challenged him again with his enfield and that was worse
It's not idiotic, it's cute.

You guys made my day. ROFLMAO

A friend pointing to an expensive looking car, "that one looks nice"

I realize its a 7-series.

ME: It has to look good, the car is worth close to a crore.

Friend: What?? He could have bought a Volvo bus instead.

This is true but I did see somewhere that the main case of girl's driving is bad is that the vision in the eyes of a Male is wider than that of a Female making the side visions lower. Like a Wide angle camera lens compared to a normal one.
Though I could be wrong

Rest assured, you are wrong! It is not as if we have panoramic vision and they don't! I have seen a lady (my wife's boss) driving a Ford Endeavor to work every day. Even I would not like to drive a huge car in traffic. For daily commute to work I don't even prefer the Alto and take the bike instead - it is so much more convenient.

Talking to one friend who just bought a new car.

Him: What is max speedometer reading on your car ?
Me: xxxkmph
Him: My car has got more than yours.
Me: what difference does that make.
Him: My car can go faster.
Me: #@$*(&@#)($*&#)(*$&

He was not kidding, he believes that speedometer reading represents what max speed a car can do :-/ .

I guess he is referring to Ritz with Fiat diesel engine

So the name Fiat Ritz, right

+1 to it you are absolutely correct, but music system should be using a very minimal amount of power

I used to think like this when I was a small kid. Me along with friends used to peep into Ambys Fiats and Maruti 800s and check their speedos to know the max speed of that car

Only F1 cars idle at 2000 rpm. BMW's Valvetronic engines have achieved 600 rpm idle.
Even i have heard that from my child hood and was horrified while riding my fathers bike. But when i bought my pulsar 150 the manual suggest you to use the front brake more than the rear. even tried hard breaking couple of times to see if it happens but never succeeded.

This happened in Bangalore in early 90s.
Gentleman 1, while walking down Brigade road, spotting a car with blue stickers behind that read Blaupunkt: That guy has cranked his car stereo to the max. We need to ban such guys.
Gentleman 2: That's the way these guys show off on weekends in Brigade road and MG road. Just ignore them.
After a while, Gentleman 1 spots the "Same" car with "same sticker": guy looks lost. He keeps going round and round. And his system is blaring.
Gentleman 2: How do you know it's the same car?
Gentleman 1: Look at the Blaupunkt sticker on the back. What ever that means.
Gentleman 2, laughs out loud and explains: Blaupunkt is a brand. Many cars in bangalore proudly sport that sticker.
Gentleman 1: highly embarrased as he thought every maruti esteem that sported the blaupunkt was the same car and he didn't know what Blaupunkt was. This happened over 18 years back.

It's true. Gentleman 1 is known in T-BHP by the handle MX6.

@ MX6: and i dont know how many would admit to this in a public forum the way you did, kudos!

talking of stickers, i see many "bass.com" stickers on cars here in mumbai. is that a car audio shop or just an audio forum??!!

MX6 well put , In mid 80s there used to be a sticker "billboard' in multi color fonts. I like every other boy in my school had it my cycle but till date don't know what billboard was.

PS : Just searched Wikipedia after posting this and got to know it is a American Music magazine
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_%28magazine%29

A decades old query answered today :-)

I used to think the same when we bought 800 in 1992. i used to go hunting seeing various cars speedometer to see which has highest top speed. Then me and my friends would discuss about those.

Now when i think about it, i feel like

well this one is from my wife, (hope she doesn't read this, will have to spend the rest of my life with casper and angel, my two dogs)

I drive a lancer, and at my age i have to get every mod on my car approved from her. So i had basic 13" wheels and was due for a tyre change, so i brought 15" alloys and 205 50 R 15 Tyres. I had the biggest grin on my face and decided to pic wife from office. she got into the car

She: you did the same thing you did to the esteem.
Me: grinning yes
She: the wheel well looks weird now
Me: weird
She: there is a lot of gap in the wheel well.
Me: Ya that's how its supposed to be, its a set of lo pro tyres
She: whatever its is go back and get the old rims
Me: (Please dont ask how much i paid)
She: How much
Me: The shop guy was generous he paid me 1000 Bucks along with the exchange(of course it was the most stupid lie)
She: see you got some cheap stuff
Me: forget it, how was work .

One week later my sister comes to hom
My Sis: yuck, where the hell are your rims
Me: this is my rim
Wife: he exchanged them for cheap stuff.

So guys here is what i got.(Silver ones mine)

Quirky logic and funny comments from non-petrol head friends-dsc01486.jpg
