Re: The Cricket Thread

Nothing wrong in criticizing when they dont perform

Nothing wrong in praising when they do good. But this was some special performance from Kohli. I usually don't watch matches against Pak. I only follow on cricinfo on my mobile now and then. Don't have the stomach

Started watching from last over and it was great. I had even thought it wouldn't matter if we lost given the way we pursued.

Re: The Cricket Thread

I already watched the last 10 overs of the Indian innings 3 times. Each time getting goose bumps.
Kohli and Pandya were exceptional and complementing each other during their match winning partnership.
King of the day was Kohli but the man of the moment for me was Ashwin for the way he managed the wide ball and scoring the single off the last ball. Ashwin deserved a bit more limelight IMHO!

Re: The Cricket Thread

"cometh the hour cometh the man", never liked the king so much and an innings to remember for a generation

Indian bowlers did so well and Pak also played tremendously, but this innings of Kohli made to forget all other good play and remember only how he took us to the shores.

All in my house were literally standing last few overs, what a victory what a victory, gem of an innings by the man, it's more than winning the world cup itself, best wishes India for rest of the matches, T20 cup will be a jewel on the crown.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Is there any site to watch the match again? I won't mind watching it again, or maybe good highlights. The highlights package on Hotstar is a joke.

Edit: Found the India version - https://www.hotstar.com/in/sports/cr...12s/1540018991

Would love to see one with a different set of commentators too. Anyone?

I am interested too. BTW, on big screen, the streaming through hotstar is very poor. I see frames are being missed and there is stutter. I recently changed the TV with upgrade in screen size. Anywy to address it?

I watch on a 55 inch Vu TV. The things that help is putting the "Sports Mode" on and connecting the TV to the modem via a LAN cable. But yes, it's still not perfect.

The match is being re-broadcasted now in star sports. I am watching again just to see the dream run again. The expression of King Kohli were worth watching, as if this performance is a attack on existencial crisis. He kept it cool and proved that he is 'The Best in business'.

Stop watching on Hotstar and fire up the set top box. I always watch good matches on Tata Sky as no matter how much Hotstar tries it can't match the clarity of set up box.

Even though it doesn't show the actual match, you still might enjoy the podcast highlights and short video on this page. I know I did!

This is the video which prompted me to look for alternate commentary. It's very nice

Invest in an Apple TV 4K streaming box. A bit costly but highly under rated for its capabilities. I never had issues for Hotstar on it.

ESPN+. Can select both India commentary and International.

I missed the live match because of timezone difference but watched entire match once it became available.

What a match and what a knock from Kohli. I recommend ESPN+

Re: The Cricket Thread

So, I’m late here. I watched the entire match live. I Still have goosebumps. Watched all the post match interviews. Caught up all the press conferences. Watched the Pak news channel debates on youtube, some of them severely critical of Babar’s captaincy. Read everything i could from anywhere, about the match. And I’m still hungry to re-live the game.

They are very few knocks that can have such impacts on me. This one is special. Just can’t seem to have enough of that game.

Been two days that I just didn’t care about my wife calling me bonkers and insane for having relived this gane several times from different channels, you tube moments etc.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Those two sixes off Kohli's bat will find place in history alongwith Dhoni's world cup winning straight six. Those two six videos are going to fetch fortune to Kohli's sponsor career.
