If you are watching news channels, everyone is saying that india should have walked out. So Kumble would have got support of everyone.
PCB supported Inzy during that time. Now, our's is a spineless board. More interested in making money rather than these matters. Hence my gut feeling is BCCI would have never supported him as if he had walked out, it would have meant more controversies and their moolah would definately suffer.

The news channels does say about walking out. But if he had done so and if at all he was banned, then which channel would have come to his support? They would hve reported a couple of days and the matter would have died down. Moreover, as Gavaskar has put it during his after match conversation with Kumble "we have gone as ambassadors" and let's behave like one. No matter if our opponents are not doing so.

Let me rephrase it .. If only the umpires had not screwed up by sending 2 out of the top 6 batsmen (Namely Dravind and Ganguly) back to the pavilion when they were CLEARLY not out, the match would have been a draw. Who knows, India would have even won the game.

Actually, Inzy was let down by PCB. Shahryar khan had actually tried to create stories that they were consulting and they were about to walk out, instead of being forthright about it. It was only when PCB was forced by paki ppl and supported by BCCI and BCCSL could they gather the guts to take on ICC.
Without trying to , kumble shouldnt care what our board and news channels do. He is the leader of Indian cricket team and should have taken a strong action. That is what leaders do - they take action, even if unpleasant, when situation demands.

Gavaskar might say anything now, but he was the one who walked out and took with him the runner up when he was not happy with some decision.

BTW, just saw a poll on CNN showing 98% ppl want indian team to return.

Guys , Anyone have Bucknor's home address --- need to send him a courier !! And the box would be filled with glasses of all powers -- so whatever helps him see properly shall be used by him ( hopefully ) !!

This has got to be the BIGGEST SHAM of all .... 1 bad decision - 2 bad decisions - 3 bad decisions but NOT 10 bad decisions can be accepted and that too in 1 Test match . Well , it clearly shows that the Aussie's have beaten Indians in bribing !! And to make it worse they planning action against Bhajji for racial slurs , which book says calling a monkey a monkey is a slur infact its calling a spade a spade .

Im for them to pack up their bags and come home ..... WALK OUT !! Don't let the umpires get away .. don't let the Aussies get away . And just send the U - 13 team to play these guys , that ways the future players will get conditioned for Aussie pitches when they go there 10 yrs later .

I wonder what is in store for us in the next match ....

Completely agree. If calling someone a monkey is racist, is calling someone an ape, chimpanzee or primate racist? else calling someone a dog racist? what about a pig? or chicken? puppy?

kangaroos have taken this too far..oops..was calling someone a kangaroo racist?

Aw, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, LLL. 40% of all people know that.

@LLL: My first point of this discussions after India Lost match was "No point in contunuing with this series". They should return home.

@ Khaadu: Well said. We should really think of sending u13 team.

Its high time our team mamagement & Board took the decision and came back home.

Flash News: News from CNN IBN: Chetan Chauhan said BCCI will launch a strong protest with ICC. But the match lost is lost.

The test that is lost is over. It was fitting that we finish the test - walking out in between would'nt have been the right thing to do.

However, we still have the option of walking out of the rest of the series and I think we should do that. THere is a limit to which such nonsense can be pushed, and in this test it has reached the tipping point.

Let them send a B Team instead - at least the boys will get some practice on hard bouncy wickets and of playing a 13 member opposition.

Agreed we should walk out of the series and get on the plane to India.

BTW, a Cricinfo staffer writes such:
Symonds was called a ‘monkey’ by Harbhajan | The Corridor (a cricket blog)

Comments to that article are befitting, I would say! I mean, when no one heard what was being said on the field, why pass judgment without knowing what the truth is?

And our favourite Cricket blogger Prem Panicker writes as to why we should not be trusting Ponting anymore:
Smoke Signals

FLASH NEWS in IBN-LIVE:
Harbhajan banned for 3 Tests. Clearly, the Aussies wanted him out of the series.

Why doesn't everyone just pack their bags and come back home ..... How the HELL DID THEY PROVE THAT HE SAID THOSE WORDS ---- just coz the Aussies said so they BAN BHAJJI !!!! But then every dark cloud has a silver lining --- till now we only got to hear about the Goras using rascist words against the brown skinned but atleast now a brown skinned has gotten convicted of rascism towards a gora

Lets hope the Indian team does take a bold step ...... !!!!

Bhajji Banned for 3 tests. Not acceptable. Come out of this tour immediately if you have anything moral and sportmanship left within yourselves. COME OUT OF THIS TOUR AND SAVE US INDIANS AS MUTE SUFFERERS.

Chetan Chauhan says Indian view was not considered in the hearing. And BCCI says they will appeal.

My foot. Get out of that country NOW.

And boycott all cricket matches until those two clowns who were on field and the third clown judging from the TV are ALL removed from the list of umpires.

Will we do that? Or as usual, just move on without any self-respect?

Please guys, show the courage and determination that Arjuna Ranatunga and Inzamam showed for their country.

Rajiv Shukla says the tour will go on..On what basis? The players morale is already down and if we decide play, it will be shameful.

C'mon BCCI, show some guts and ask the team to come out of this series. You cannot take the whole country who are all supporting cricket as mere spectators. Now is the time. Stand up and ask boys to return with the next flight available. This would be a slap on both Aussies and ICC.
