Can we win this match (with a bonus point)? Aussies were struggling at 124/6 with 34 overs gone.

We might win the match. Bonus - I don't think so. We have a history of taking it easy when we have low targets to chase creating pressure on ourselves. Then anything can happen !!

btw - anyone watching the under-19 WC match ? Ind v/s New papua Guinea ?? Can watch some future players in action.

Both Hogg and Clarke getting the ship to sail. Hope we get a break to get them bundled below 200

The body language of Indians has become low. These guys are givng away runs easily. Seems like aussies may get past 200 easily.

Clarke gone, now Australia are 187/8 in 46.3 overs.

EDIT: Bracken gone for 0, Pathan picks up his fourth wicket. Aus now 187/9.

We have a match here which can be won easily. Unless our batsmen does not do something innovative and get themselves out.

Edit: Last pair of ausies batting now. Just wondering have our bowlers forgotten to bowl yorkers?

Rohit gone too - another uphill struggle now with only 3 batsmen out of which one is out of form and we do not know whether the other is in any form at all !!

Dhoni has to dominate the batting now.

Australia need to bowl India out for 163 to get the bonus point.

Will Aus take with a bonus?

Its 115/5 now. Suddenly this is becoming a uphill task. The last recognaized pair batting now. One more wicket and tail will start. Again a pathetic display by top order. No experience of top order is doing us in.

Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh - no experience? Gambhir has already played 40+ matches and Pathan is not a batsman in the first place anyways. Only Rohit is short of "experience" and this was his first failure in this series.
You conclusion unfortunately seems a bit off-the-mark and a lot biased

Yuvraj threw his wicket away literally when the going was pretty good. Dhoni is now in with a runner, not so good news.

We still need just a bit over 4 runs per over; if only the batsmen can stay that long...

As for the statistics, we have lost all the 3 previous matches in this ground. Well, there has to be a first time for everything right ;-)

PS: This was brought up last time too; after taking 4/41 runs off 10 overs, why should Pathan bat at number 3 when that is not his primary job? Something is screwed up with this thing popping up now and again.

Consider the below for a change:
Sachin tendulkar: Yes, he has tons of experience.
Ghambir: Only 42 matches and this cannot be considered as long experience in ODIs.
Pathan: Not a batsman (as you have told).
R/Sharma:No experience or very less experience.
Yuvaraj: I do not know why you are considering him a top order batsman. He has come out at no.5. He will be a middle order batsman. Anyways, he is out of form.

Don't understand why Dhoni is not sending Robin instead of Pathan?
