He has faced 54 deliveries this morning from Side bottom and scored 7 runs out of it.

Taking the shine out of the new b@ll (luckily my cable tv was not working)

On the other end Ganguly is scoring at will (moved on to 42 in 62 deliveries)

Oh as the best batsman in the team - is that his job profile ? taking the shine of the new ball ? Come on.

Ganguly is going along his old way - edging here and top edging there but atleast the score is moving along.

I missed this " " after

" taking the shine of the new ball"

Going thru by cricinfo commen, sidebottom was bit unlucky as he made Tendulkar uncomfortable for the first full hour (each and every ball).

PS: though it hurts little being a die hard fan of sachin

though am not a fan of Sachin atleast not a die hard one. Ponting would have reached 150 by now with this bowling attack if he started the day at 57.

Collingwood to Tendulkar, OUT, and he's got him - Tendulkar can't believe it. Just outside off stump, Tendulkar took a big stride down the pitch but offered no shot. A huge, lengthy appeal from Collingwood and the wicketkeeper - and Taufel, after a long Bucknor-like delay, raises his finger, though replays suggest it's a poor decision, the ball missing the off stump
Out for 91. He was lucky to get into his 90's considering the way he handled the first hour. Taufel claims one against his name

Well I'm quite pissed at Taufel right now since it's one of the few days today when I could watch some cricket. Really wanted to see Sachin batting in flow with Ganguly.

Well this is one for the press. Not a surprise today morning to see the English press lambasting the English bowlers on the one side and our chak de Indian media making a pile of bones about India getting a few decisions going their way yesterday on the other. The blokes in the media are a funny bunch.

But hey! 2 bad decisions from our man Taufel puts everything back to square one, or doesn't it yet fellas! Sachin's was maybe, just maybe, pardonable. But wonder what he heard with Ganguly. Ha! Taufel's been his usual consistent self this match now hasn't he!

Now then, hoping to see all our press tomorrow with good stories about how are three of our big four performed on a day when swing was in the air and the nip was in the pitch.
Or maybe we won't

Bad day for Taufel. Good day of batting. 480/9 now with a minimum of 20 overs to go on third day. If we can pick up a wicket before close of play, then we are certainly in the drivers seat. Come on India!

481 all out. I don't think we deserve to win this match. Scoring rate was too darn slow. When you are dominating the match, how can you score less than 3 per over ?

Also 3 appalling umpiring decisions added to that. Poor day for the umpires IMO.

I agree. Laxman was outscored by Kumble in that partnership. Looks like he was batting for a place in the team, while Tendulkar and Ganguly were looking for 100's. Dravid was painfully slow, as always. And the Indians were pretty lucky with LBW's. Panesar lost out on two plumb decisions yesterday and today Ganguly got away with one very early on against the new ball. So they have no cause for complaint on the umpiring.

It is going to be tough to bowl England out as the pitch looks to be playing well. It is on the final day that the need for two spinners could be felt. Hope no further time is lost and we pull off a win.

If we do pull off a win, that would be credit to the bowlers only & not for a super slow 481.

yes guys - Laxman scoreed at a strike rate of 35 - I mean when you are the only specialist batsman left , do you score runs or do you hold up one end expecting the bowlers to score ? Pathetic batting display by us.

And Dravid once again started off with Sreesanth - I mean why ????????
