You forgot Dravid's 22 ball 50 ?? :D
Saw the highlights of the India-Sri Lanka game yesterday.
-- Three SL batsmen run out; in particular, Jayasuriya very unlucky to be run out.
-- Looked like Dhoni was LBW to Murali in the very first over that he faced (when on 0), but umpire does not give the decision.
-- Bhajji plumb LBW to Malinga before he scored, but again umpire does not give decision.
Did SL batsmen have any such lucky breaks? Not sure, but considering how close the finish was, Indians were surely lucky to pull off this win.
Me too :)

Don't think Malinga can bowl the ball he bowled to Tendulkar again. So unlucky. Also, Rohit Sharma gave a sitter. Pathan played the wrong line. Yuvraj couldn't dig out the yorker. So all unlucky.

Not convincing. Umpire has be 100% sure to give an LBW. Nothing less than that.

Ball was moving away and could have missed off stump. Again not 100%.

The ball brushed Gambir's thigh pad and the umpire thinks its OUT :Shockked:. On the contrary, I think Indians were unlucky and hence the close finish.

From:
Cricinfo - Breaking News
Does "icon" mean that the player is for free?
LOL - free ??
Icon means that the player can only play for his city and he will be paid 15 % more than the highest bid player of his team.
for example - if Sachin is a icon player and Shane Warne is bought for 15000 $ for Mumbai then Sachin automatically gets 15 % more than Shane.

Interestingly, there were no takers for McGrath, Hussey and Taibu so far.
I think the IPL club owners are playing Super Selector.

Whenever we win, the other team is oh-so-unlucky!
Out of interest - if you had a child that got into a fight in school, would you cluck around saying 'poor child' to the other children?
Save some sympathy for our men.

McGrath bought by Delhi and Mike Hussey by Chennai and David Hussey by Kolkata.
Now, can anyone send me a link or explain what is this thing going on? Are they going to play T-20 only?
one thing is for sure. cricket will become like soccer. there will be tremendous pressure on players to perform and perform. money or not, they are now officially in the rat race! everything that is there in soccer will be copied in cricket now. media and league owners will be shoving cricket down our throats.
we very badly need people to do well in other sports so there is some choice for us to take interest in.

well said. this should silence everyone who thinks the Indian team wins just by 'chance'.
also the biggies have send a lot of cash on buying the teams. now they are spilling money to buy the right players. apart from the prize money that the winning team gets, how will the owners make the money they have spent??
if the ipl is carried out in the way it is supposed to(what i mean is without the interference of our politicians) i think it has the potential to become even bigger than the epl.
