Poor selectors, still trying to bring this old horse in shine, failing all time.
Hope he listens Kumble and call it a day sooner.

IMO i dont feel sad to see them fall. Other teams are competing better than them eg. India & SA. Change we Need!!

In this season of thrilling 4th innings chases, Bangladesh has mounted one of their own. They are chasing 521 to win against Srilanka, and are 373/6 at lunch on the fifth day.

They'll lose most probably, what a thrilling fight and fright they have given to SL :-)

A bit about Master Blaster:

The term 'Master Blaster' was coined by George Miller in the movie Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome. (I have listed Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior as my favorite movie). In that movie, Master Blaster is actually 2 men - Master & Blaster. Together they form an indestructible entity. The Hero of the movie (Mel Gibson), cracks the code to separate them and takes them out individually.

Well, Sachin is Desi Master Blaster (as christened by our commentators).

yes Samu I 100% agree with you,I still remember his "Entry"in ground with chewing gum in his mouth, looking careless towards fielding team, great easy stance, equally capable of hitting all shots to any corner of field, beautiful fielder specially in midwicket his fav.place, nice easy bowling action etc.etc.No one can beat Isac Vivian Alexander Richards,no way.He was only bowled once n truly and that not by any great bowlers but by Nina Gupta.

Ponting has thrown the gauntlet at the Springboks asking them to get 376 runs in 116 overs on the difficult 5th day pitch at Sydney.

If the Proteans get those runs, they taste glory - they will usurp Australia from the No. 1 Test spot, apart from completing a 3-0 sweep against the Kangaroos.

So far they have made 62 in 26 overs. They still need 314 in 90 overs. And they have to get this without their captain. But they can back themselves to get it, since couple of weeks back they had got 414 runs.

It isn't for no reason Ponting is known as 'punter'.

Will he win this bet? Or bring disgrace to his country?

Samurai in the Cricket Thread?

Still, those are words of wisdom. Perhaps most of the kids today werent around to watch King Richards swagger in to take strike before proceeding to dispatch bowlers and fielders all over and out of the ground.

Call him the Master Blaster, and I will bow to the ground with the rest of the crowd.

PS: ECM - I dont think he was bowled by Nina Gupta. She was stumped by him.

The Aus - SA match is so delicately and beautifully poised. Ponting declared at the perfect time and the runs are gettable too but then Smith ain't batting... intriguing.

I will be up early tomorrow and watching.
