| ![]() After seeing an advertisement in Deccan Chronicle of friday, I visited and found that Sri Lankan Holidays at Hyderabad (opposite Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda) have a few good offers for the Sri Lanka Tri-Series involving India, NZ and SL in September 2009. The matches are T-20. The package I liked goes like this: Airfare Chennai-Colombo-Chennai including all Airport Charges, User Fees and Taxes, 5-Days/4-Nights in 4* Hotel with B/F, Airport-Hotel-Airport Transfers, Hotel-Stadium-Hotel Transfers, Stadium Tickets for India-NZ (11-Sep) and India-SL (12-Sep) Matches = Rs. 30,500 All Inclusive for 2 people. Fixed departure on 09-Sep and return on 13-Sep ex Chennai. Minimum 2 people required to avail package. Mr Raveesh there told me that Visa is also included in the above amount but that was not specifically mentioned in the pamphlet. I estimate another 10 K as other expenses including water, lunches, dinners, etc. The flight timings in the package are very convenient to be able to make it by train from Hyderabad. I, unfortunately, cannot avail the package as it is valid for minimum 2 people travelling together ... |

| ![]() Great victory by the English team. They performed as a real team. It might have been really painful for Ricky & Co. Australians are no longer 'invincibles'. |

Congrats to England. Brilliant effort. Must appreciate the way Strauss has led from the front . I think Aussie cricket is in a bit of mess. Quite a inexperienced side, so i think Ponting is better of continuing his captaincy. I was quite surprised Atherton popped the same question to him during the presentation ceremony. |

| ![]() @ Karan: Probably yes, but the Aussie selectors are known to take tough decisions. They just might blood in Clarke and groom him for December 2010. But Ponting wanting to play the next series in England is very optimistic on his part IMO |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Guys, Just saw a very good T-20 match between NZ and SL. Finally black caps pulled off a victory in SL. The highlight of the match was Dilshan's batting and McCullum's catch in the last over .. Anyone watched the catch ?? |

| ![]() All three catches in the end were great - Orams caught and bowled, McCullum and Brooks (I think) at the boundary. NZ had very average fielding in the last 5 overs and suddenly when it mattered most the ball seemed to stick to their hands!! |

| ![]() 2005 was definitely better. But I would prefer a hard fought Ashes over a T20 anyday. |

Comparing T20 and Ashes is just like comparing two cars ... Not fair .. Both are unique and equally interesting if played with two equally matched teams and of course in the correct spirit .. |

| ![]() Sam, I agree. But what if you were given a choice to pick and watch just one ? Ashes deciding test match final day V/s A T20 match. I would pick the former. Its like cars as you said. Compare two but ultimately buy one ! ![]() |
