I doubt whether we will be able to bat for 4-5 sessions to save the match. I say 30:70 :: Draw:SLwin

^^No.. It wont end in a draw. Sehwag will score a quickfire double hundred this evening. India will declare with a 200 run lead tomorrow morning, Sangakkara and Mahela will score ducks and Harbhajan will claim a hat trick. We will dismiss Sri Lanka in the last 2 sessions.

We will win by 174 runs.

:)

Prasad

Buddy, your predictions are all topsy turvy and upside down now that the Indian innings have started.
Sehwag has scored half a hundred instead of a double hundred.
@sam_boy : Prasad is "sumadartsoN" and not Nostradamus

All right. All right. I was wrong about Sehwag. Gambhir scores a double ton then. I still will maintain- Harbhajan claiming a hat trick.

Cheers
Prasad

Yes, Bhajji is going to take 3 wickets in 3 test matches! Hat trick indeed! :D

Good one!

Anyone else agrees that we need to give the Pujara guy a chance somehow. Young run machine and an appetite for BIG scores !

Maybe in the squad instead of Badri and plays if someone gets injured ?

Pujara has been doing well but between him and Badrinath, I feel Badrinath is the better choice.

Badri is older but still young enough to be a reasonably long term prospect. Plus his fielding is exceptional enough to make a difference.

Hmmmm. I may be wrong, but I think Pujara is a prodigy kind of a player. And such a player should be played at an early stage and when he is in form, like he is.

And how many prodigies had we seen off late?
i guess except sachin and yuvi to an extent not many could do the same on international scene.

Btw i stand match will be a draw and The wall got a rough decision!

Something like this was being said about someone in 1989.:) Would be good if Pujara comes up similarly.

You are right, but that doesn't mean we stop looking for another one ! Sachin, Dravid and VVS will go out in the same fashion as Gilly, Hayden and Langer did for Australia. And our bench is not even half as strong !

Since we are on predictions, take a look at this article that I came across recently. Written in November 1991.

Peter Roebuck may not have reached international class as a player but he seems to have been a great judge of form.

Magnificent seven: class of '91 graduated with honours - Cricket - Sport

You are right Eddy and i agree with you.
Rohit Sharma is one guy i believe has the talent to play and excel in all current forms of cricket but his attitude and temparament had been a big let down. I still believe if someone can get that sorted in him he is the one who can fill a big spot in indian cricket.

Yuvi..? Prodigy..? :uncontrol going out with girls and disobeying security regulations perhaps.

For God's sake, please, Yuvi is a good enough one day player, a far cry from that in tests. I wouldn't bother speaking of Sachin and Yuvi in the same breath.

BTW, where is Mohd. Kaif these days?

Prasad

PS. If Afridi can be rated as a prodigy, anyone else can. BTW, how old is he now? 15?

Something to rejoice today, our top spin bowler Mishra crossed 200:uncontrol
