The target seems very achievable the way we seem to be piling on the runs - 611 for 4 now and in just 140 overs at that !

what the hell is going on ?

617 for 5 ? this way test cricket will definitely fizz out. Comeon guys at BCCI get better wickets, which get results.

I would anyday prefer a test match of 3 days but with a result, rather than a 5 day draw.

cheers,
ac

If Sehwag is at crease the full day in first day innings, the score might have easily crossed 600 yesterday iteself, with his third 300

Dravid was doing well, carrying on with the same form from 1st test. That run-out is really unlucky. Thought he would do 200 :(

Spitfire, did you ever get the chance to play any cricket in England?
I have played club cricket with and against some good Indian players....and made some good friends too.

Probably not then.....

Hey good to know we have another cricketer on here. We are a mad country of cricket lovers and you are from the place which gave birth to the sport. You will be at home out here

Ah.. about the question. No unfortunately not. Never played abroad. Got too tangled up with fighting the management, which is run by politicians out here. Sorry somehow missed that post from you.

I have played against VVS Laxman, Paranjape, Gavaskar and Kambli, and many others who played Bradford League Cricket.
I am also fortunate to have had a grandparent who played in India in the 1930s.

I understand, from reading about my grandfathers tour out there that politics was a big problem in cricket. Worse, i think than Yorkshire CCC!

Hey interesting. Who is your grandparent? If you don't mind letting us know.

I too have played with Kambli, Tendulkar, Dravid, Robin Singh, Sunil Joshi and most of the players from the teams in West and South India. Gavaskar is a relative Never helped my cause though. He he..

Yes politics is a bane for cricket in India and for some of us it went horribly wrong because of it.

My grandfather was Yorkshire Cricketer, Arthur Mitchell. He went on the 1933/34 MCC tour to India and played in the first ever test Match in India.
He batted with The Maharaja of Patiala for the MCC in one or two of the tour matches.

No more test crickets in India after 5 years if this is the way curators/BCCI prepare pitches. Come on guys, test cricket is real test for temperament, talent, technique and profession. Just for money from T20, don't kill the real sport.

sreesanth is making the srilankans dance on the pitch, truly the pitch is breaking up & may be it is reverse swinging.

Well it seems SL may follow on and then results might be on the cards.
Sreesanth is bowling beautifully and his temper is in check as of now

Aaah, you beat me to that. Indian bowlers are singing a different song today. Good to see that after a long time. Run out of Mahela was lucky one. else everything was quite good. see an innings win coming here.
