What will happen to young aspiring bowlers after looking at such games where there was nothing in the pitch for them :-)
The young aspiring ones can also look at the recent ranji trophy match between UP and Bengal (22 wickets on the 2nd day) and be happy

In order to be a really good bowler they also should be bowling in flat pitches to master the act of varying the pace and length of the deliveries...

Certainly we did not deserve to win this one. Only the last 5 overs was a semblance of a fight.

Our fielding and catching seems to be getting from bad to worse, match after match. Although the batsmen have just about been able to make up for these lapses, if we continue with this fielding standard, the tables will soon turn.

Just saw this during lunch. There is some news about players (Johnson and Suleman Benn) from WI and AUS team getting physical on the field. Pushing and mouthing. Looks like words alone are not working for the Aussies. Change of tactics. Anyone got more on this ?

Quoting the cricinfo report :

Quote:
Haddin threatened to become the first Australian of the series to score a century during his 91-ball innings, but instead became the 15th local to reach a fifty during a dominant innings that also included an extended argument with Sulieman Benn. Benn showed his angry side in a complicated exchange with Haddin that inadvertently brought in Johnson when the bowler pointed at Haddin and accidently brushed his partner's shoulder.

Johnson pushed Benn away as the argument raged and things were slow to cool down. It had begun when Haddin took offence at Benn and Johnson running into each other when the bowler was fielding in his follow-through. The ultimately harmless episode was an unnecessary and ugly period that showed both teams have some fight left after three weeks of play. It didn't help Benn though, as he returned 1 for 87 off 28 overs.

Even the WI have started playing well against the aussies in australia. Looks like they have seriously lost it after monkey gate.

But still Aussies are doing well in One dayers. This is something that Indian team has to learn. With this kind of batting display, excellent fielding and catching will make us the Number one team in the world.

296 for 5 in 49, Dhoni 103* (Hundred No.6 for him) & Jadeja 11*, looks like another 300 is on the cards here for India !

Sri Lanka - 293/7 in 48.2 overs.

Another closely contested run chase.

You were so right and tables have already turned.

It seems it will be Dilshan+Sanga vs Indian XI from now onwards.
