Re: The Cricket Thread

Just loose batting by India. Vijay got a gem but others - they played at balls which you leave. This is looking bad.
Rahane looked good and then played such a bad shot, I mean, come on - he is the in form player.
Can we manage something decent?

Re: The Cricket Thread

Finally India managed to bring back an out of form captain & his team to winnings ways. How many times have we achieved this feat

The current test match - it is all over, they lost it in the first 10 overs.

Dhoni still has the opportunity for a maiden 100 outside India

Irresponsible batting once again. Except for Vijay everyone could have left the balls they got out.

Isn't it what our Tendulkar did for Harbhajan in Monkeygate ?

Dhoni doesn't like Gambhir in the team, He must have opted for batting first just to prove him a point that he is not fit for this level & should go back home to play ranji.

No he did not - SRT said what he heard. And the slang sounds very much like the slur (as you know). And, I would not condone if Bhajji said what he was 'alleged' to say.

Anderson has now officially become the most hated player in India. I hope he gets the same bloody welcome by the spectators what the 'sporting' people of England gave to Jadeja.

I agree. The So called gentleman of England were booing loudly when Jadeja walked in.
Anderson should have been banned but as usual it's always sub continent players who get penalized and others escape easily.

Dhoni's test record is poor. In the current phase on Indian cricket, its either Dhoni/Srinivasan way or highway. Nothing will change in Indian test cricket, till Dhoni & his buddies are around.

Buddy I was being sarcastic. If I was a selector I would have dropped him and his buddy gang long back.
However, at least he is fighting today which is good to see.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Ok, so Gambhir is in the team but he scores a duck!

Darn, 79 for 8, will we even reach 100 ?
Looks like this test is lost in the first session itself.
Ghosts of 2011 are back to haunt Dhoni and his new Co.

It is as if the entire team is homesick and they all want to get back home as soon as possible.

Today? Dhoni has scored more runs in this series than everyone else other than Vijay.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Well, Dhoni can play in overseas conditions if he can learn to leave the ball outside off-stump.
It's a shame on other batsmen if Dhoni(who is supposed to be technically limited) can play well and they can't.

At one stage there were more pigeons on the ground than the runs on the board! Its a shameful performance from our batsman.
I don't think Cook or even half of England had imagined that a series victory would come so easy.
I wonder how we will perform in the ODI's considering the same set of players will be in the team except Raina & Umesh Yadav!
